Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Keep a watchful eye on the people, places, and things that influence your life. A careless thoughtlife will surely lead to a poor understanding of the Truth.”~TB

Software

God programmed us to be free thinkers. This means that the blank software you were born with is free to download whatever information you choose. You don’t have to follow God or even acknowledge His existence! On the same token, He does not have to acknowledge you come judgment day. Make of that as you will. Some will come to know Christ early on. Some will do so later on. And others, well, they chose what they chose. Thank God that we have a choice! So, why is it important that you understand this distinction? Well, friends, not all information is wise or accurate. More to the point, not every activity or deed will bring you peace or contentment.

Virus

As society advances, so does the ability to easily practice sin, debauchery, and all types of blasphemous activities. Problem is, much of what is not good for you is marketed as delightful and necessary things. This is why analyzing and understanding what you’re listening to and to whom you’re influenced by is of the utmost importance. Evil people seek to give you poisonous information and will claim such acts as good! And if you’re not paying attention, you will download it, like a virus that will corrupt your system. Friends, be discerning! Let the Holy Spirit guide your thought process. If someone is telling you to make concessions on the Truth, run! If someone is trying to change you or make you believe that you are anything less than what God created you to be, ignore them. In a world that is upside down, and evil is packaged as freedom, choice, and pursuit of happiness, if you are not paying attention, life is more challenging.

Anti-virus

Even though we have a choice and God will not inflict His authority on you, He is there! If you are tired of the gnarly viruses of the world, if you are frustrated by the hypocrisy of mankind, turn to the Truth. Forming a genuine relationship with God is beneficial in so many ways. Like the ultimate anti-virus, God will download the Truth, peace, and joy onto your operating system. This new software, The Holy Spirit is not only a useful tool but a true friend that will help guide you in this wicked world. If you take the time to cultivate this relationship, it will serve you well. Make no mistake, to walk with God means to abdicate the sin-fallen world. It means to take up the cross, abandon a flesh-filled life, and to live according to His will. As with anything worth doing, dedication, discipline, and time are necessary to run this race. Friends, you have a choice, make sure you choose wisely.

Today’s Question

Are you downloading the Truth or is your operating system full of viruses?

Psalm 128

1 How joyful are those who fear the LORD — all who follow his ways!
2You will enjoy the fruit of your labor. How joyful and prosperous you will be!
3 Your wife will be like a fruitful grapevine, flourishing within your home. Your children will be like vigorous young olive trees as they sit around your table.
4 That is the LORD ’s blessing for those who fear him.
5 May the LORD continually bless you from Zion. May you see Jerusalem prosper as long as you live.
6 May you live to enjoy your grandchildren. May Israel have peace!

Trust

silhouette-1082129_1920 (1)

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Trusting in God means taking responsibility for your thoughts, actions, and feelings. Most people would rather lie to themselves than do the work”~TB

Truth of the Matter

The truth of the matter is that through Christ you are set free. This means that you are unchained from the failings and snares of your previous existence. The sad thing is that many of you want to keep your handcuffs because it absolves you of being responsible for your deeds or lack thereof. You’d rather blame your minds and your feelings instead of admitting that you simply did not do the work. This is a hard pill to swallow for most, but if you make the resolve to take responsibility for your actions, freedom ensues. If you truly want to heal, you must start by owning your part of the equation. God will not run your race for you. He already did the hard part, now it’s time to do yours.

Embrace Discipline and Work

Any type of success– be it reading the Bible or talking with God– takes hard work and discipline. That’s it. There’s no seance, no magic potion; just plain work ethic, and discipline. Why is it that so few people put in the effort? More to the point, why are you so quick to complain about God when you do not put in the effort to personally know Him? Humans are foolish in that you want all the benefits of Christ, but dread putting in the work to cultivate an honest relationship with Him. Stop embracing the ‘something for nothing’ mentality. Do you not realize the joys of walking closely with the Lord? Of course, you don’t, you didn’t do the work! Friends, there’s nothing more joyous and wonderful than being in the presence of God. Embrace the work and discipline to enjoy the best relationship you could ever know.

Today’s Question

Are you trusting His process, or are you trusting your fake excuses?

Psalm 101

1 I will sing of your love and justice, LORD . I will praise you with songs.
2 I will be careful to live a blameless life— when will you come to help me? I will lead a life of integrity in my own home.
3 I will refuse to look at anything vile and vulgar. I hate all who deal crookedly; I will have nothing to do with them.
4 I will reject perverse ideas and stay away from every evil.
5 I will not tolerate people who slander their neighbors. I will not endure conceit and pride.
6 I will search for faithful people to be my companions. Only those who are above reproach will be allowed to serve me.
7 I will not allow deceivers to serve in my house, and liars will not stay in my presence.
8 My daily task will be to ferret out the wicked and free the city of the LORD from their grip.

Influence

startup-3267505_1920.jpg

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“If you seek an authentic relationship with Christ, be careful with whom you give your eyes and ears.”~TB

Deeds not words

Be wary of influential people who turn your eyes away from the Lord. While we can never truly know a person’s intent, if they prove to be a stumbling block for you, avert your gaze. Anyone can say they love the Lord, but if their actions do not match their deeds, should they really hold your attention? Be diligent in how you spend your time because what may seem like harmless fun is a pathway to foolishness and sin.

Your responsibility

It is not your job to police the wicked. At the same time, it is your responsibility not to be influenced by them either. You can avoid many pitfalls and traps when you focus your attention on the Word of God. When that is your primary influence, all of a sudden, the beautiful trappings of the world, appear to be detestable and vile. Friends, do the work and uncover the truth for yourselves. Don’t be influenced by frauds who try and sell you on a broken lifestyle. God’s influence is the only real influence, pay attention.

Today’s Question

Are you influenced by righteousness or wickedness?

Psalm 96

1 Sing a new song to the LORD ! Let the whole earth sing to the LORD !
2 Sing to the LORD ; praise his name. Each day proclaim the good news that he saves.
3 Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.
4 Great is the LORD ! He is most worthy of praise! He is to be feared above all gods.
5 The gods of other nations are mere idols, but the LORD made the heavens!
6 Honor and majesty surround him; strength and beauty fill his sanctuary.
7O nations of the world, recognize the LORD ; recognize that the LORD is glorious and strong.
8 Give to the LORD the glory he deserves! Bring your offering and come into his courts.
9 Worship the LORD in all his holy splendor. Let all the earth tremble before him.
10 Tell all the nations, “The LORD reigns!” The world stands firm and cannot be shaken. He will judge all peoples fairly.
11 Let the heavens be glad, and the earth rejoice! Let the sea and everything in it shout his praise!
12 Let the fields and their crops burst out with joy! Let the trees of the forest sing for joy
13 before the LORD, for he is coming! He is coming to judge the earth. He will judge the world with justice, and the nations with his truth.

Imitation

marionette-1882997_1920.jpg

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Listen carefully to what people say. Pay even greater attention to their actions, because though wheat and tares grow together, only one produces good crop.”~TB

Glittered Feces

The world is full of cheap imitations, claiming they love the Lord. They loudly sing and dance, putting on a great show. They are captivating and alluring in this way. In the beginning, it will appear as though they are devoutly spiritual, as they smile and say the right things. Their lives seem opulent and for a time, they will appear to be prosperous and divine. But in time, their evil deeds will outshine their false personas, revealing that their treasures and virtues are simply just gold-plated crap. When you carefully inspect the cheap knockoffs, don’t be surprised if the smell is more than you can bear.

Leap to Destruction

Oh you foolish people, do you not see that you are dancing your way into the mouth of hell? Is the party that great that you’ve abandoned the Truth? You temporarily took the peace of Christ, but you rejected His teachings. So you pretenders, actors, and thieves, enjoy your feasts, your parties, and your fanfare. The curtain is coming to a close and the crops will be separated from the weeds. Friends, pay attention because the imitators do not truly know the Lord. And soon, it will be made apparent that He does not know them either.

Today’s Question

Are you devouring the truth or are you feasting on the crap fed to you by the imitators?

Psalm 83

1 O God, do not be silent! Do not be deaf. Do not be quiet, O God.
2Don’t you hear the uproar of your enemies? Don’t you see that your arrogant enemies are rising up?
3 They devise crafty schemes against your people; they conspire against your precious ones.
4 “Come,” they say, “let us wipe out Israel as a nation. We will destroy the very memory of its existence.”
5Yes, this was their unanimous decision. They signed a treaty as allies against you—
6 these Edomites and Ishmaelites; Moabites and Hagrites;
7 Gebalites, Ammonites, and Amalekites; and people from Philistia and Tyre.
8 Assyria has joined them, too, and is allied with the descendants of Lot. Interlude
9 Do to them as you did to the Midianites and as you did to Sisera and Jabin at the Kishon River.
10 They were destroyed at Endor, and their decaying corpses fertilized the soil.
11 Let their mighty nobles die as Oreb and Zeeb did. Let all their princes die like Zebah and Zalmunna,
12 for they said, “Let us seize for our own use these pasturelands of God!”
13 O my God, scatter them like tumbleweed, like chaff before the wind!
14 As a fire burns a forest and as a flame sets mountains ablaze,
15chase them with your fierce storm; terrify them with your tempest.
16Utterly disgrace them until they submit to your name, O LORD .
17 Let them be ashamed and terrified forever. Let them die in disgrace.
18 Then they will learn that you alone are called the LORD, that you alone are the Most High, supreme over all the earth.

Allowed

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“When the grace of God has allowed you to survive your youth to travel and work outside of your community, you can reflect and appreciate all the things you’ve learned and the new things God wants you to share and give back to all communities; which is just one big global community of love .”  ~  Jon Barnes

Pleased

I was pleased to see Christian churches in China during my last tour and I was thankful to walk a mile upon the Great Wall of China!  At the top of the mountain, I was able to play my carbon fiber trumpet, close into the Heavens.  As I played Amazing Grace at several different spots on the walk back down, the Chinese Tourist kept taking pictures and videos of this spectacular event.

Praying

Pray to become an effective instrument for God in a way that people can receive the truth easily, honestly, openly, and wonderfully.  There is no formula for doing the right things in life, but to follow the suggestions (Commandments) God has put in place.  I pray you continue to make the right choices and enjoy The Love.

Positivity

People in China positively love the interaction, music, and connection to my culture, talent, and expertise.  It is a pleasure to travel, express, and share the love of God with music, books, pictures, CDs, videos, technology, and more importantly in person with people all around the world.  God will allow your dreams to come true when you do the work of Faith First!!!
Today’s Question
Are you doing the Work of Faith first with your time, talent, tongue, and money with God’s Character and Ethics or does your fake faith looks like the house of a hoarder?

Psalm 15

A psalm of David.

Who may worship in your sanctuary, Lord?
    Who may enter your presence on your holy hill?
Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right,
    speaking the truth from sincere hearts.
Those who refuse to gossip
    or harm their neighbors
    or speak evil of their friends.
Those who despise flagrant sinners,
    and honor the faithful followers of the Lord,
    and keep their promises even when it hurts.
Those who lend money without charging interest,
    and who cannot be bribed to lie about the innocent.
Such people will stand firm forever.

Wooden Cross

cross-671379_1920.jpg
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“I wear a wooden cross given to me by two Russian Missionaries, working and preaching at a local church in New Mexico, because it is a symbol of the good work that I’m doing with Music in Education around the world.”  ~  Jon Barnes

Black

Since I wear black clothes with a cross around my neck, people assume that I am a missionary, minister, or priest. However, I’m just a good guy who loves to read the bible as much as possible, which is my reply.  Good people having fun should be talked about more often.

Man

As a minority, I am surrounded by New Mexicans, Spanish, and Indian cultures and I teach almost 700 of their children how to play the trumpet each week.  The music is used to build confidence, fine motor skills, problems solving, math, language, and they read my book in class.  Students respond to great information in all the same ways.

Mission

Since I hold influence, students are paying close attention to what I say and do.  My moral compass is under a microscope in every way to give an example of an honest lifestyle of character for God.  I have a lot to learn, as people are always watching you.
Today’s Question
As a humbled person, have you picked up your wooden cross to follow Jesus to inspire others to read and live by Biblical ethics?

Google

binoculars-1209011_1920
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“Obtaining good information is cool, but you still have to translate, digest, muse, believe, and correctly use God’s good resources in a manner that is acceptable to The Creator.”

Translation

What you do and say may not be good, unless God says it’s good.  Use God’s Google Search Engine to clarify and translate your thoughts into actions so that you can simplify your steps, order your path, and pass through the valley of nonsense that awaits you in the journey.  Misinformation, altered motives, and hidden agendas plague our cultures with large holes of misunderstandings, deception, poverty, greed, waste, lust, and the likes.

Interpretation

God’s wisdom shows us how to navigate into and through life as we share and live out the true meaning and translation of His Spiritual Commandments  into everyday living.  The story of our lifestyle will begin to read and reflect the wisdom we receive from doing the homework of reading, studying, practicing, learning, teaching, and growing together in unity.  Following the leadership of God and not our own imaginations will give you the cutting edge of successes that you seek.

Lifestyle

As a lifelong learner with God’s binoculars, you will begin to see The Truth like an eagle and beyond.  Then you will be able to see the proper moves to make in your decisions and plans.  Aligning and calibrating these choices with God’s plans is the process of your faith and good works moving in the same directions, following God’s love.  Google God’s Good Love each day to translate your morning inspiration, devotion, meditation, prayer, and motivate yourself with great joy.
Today’s Question

Are you transforming your life with God’s Translations and not your own imagination?

All these were descendants of Benjamin.

Integration

nature-3151869_1920
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“After seeing different parts of the world, I can see the integration of cultural influences. I look at the US with a more focused lens, which allows me to respect God’s gift of life, liberty, and love more freely, deeply, and honestly.” ~ Jon Barnes

Punctuation

Stamps of cultural punctuations are seen in every city, country, and continent traveled because people share, travel, live, and learn new things all of the time. God’s image and face are stamped upon everyone with two eyes, a nose, lips, and a pair of ears. God’s face would look like the finest culmination of people qualities that punctuates perfection, the like we have never seen.

Proclamation

I proclaim that ignorance is not an excuse for not studying the bible to learn, share, and integrate God’s instructions of good living, wise planning, and fundamental truth about love. Whereas, living your life with honest dreams, goals, and values that serve, help, and protect others from evil, upholding real justice is a good thing. One should integrate, punctuate, and participate in the quality functions of God’s Love, Grace, and Mercy.

Pronunciation

Kindly pronounce and articulate the gospel truth of love with your best work and actions each day to clearly communicate your self-worth and expertise to share, give, and earn a living, while helping others to see God in your life. Enslaving your family with evil intentions, bad habits, and wicked ideas is just NOT wise. Integrate what God has to offer and understand His ways of obedience, love, honor, and respect.
Today’s Question?
Do you honor and respect your Heavenly Father or do your ways and work integrate the opposite of faith?

1 Samuel 9

Saul Meets Samuel

There was a wealthy, influential man named Kish from the tribe of Benjamin. He was the son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Becorath, son of Aphiah, of the tribe of Benjamin. His son Saul was the most handsome man in Israel—head and shoulders taller than anyone else in the land.
One day Kish’s donkeys strayed away, and he told Saul, “Take a servant with you, and go look for the donkeys.” So Saul took one of the servants and traveled through the hill country of Ephraim, the land of Shalishah, the Shaalim area, and the entire land of Benjamin, but they couldn’t find the donkeys anywhere.
Finally, they entered the region of Zuph, and Saul said to his servant, “Let’s go home. By now my father will be more worried about us than about the donkeys!”
But the servant said, “I’ve just thought of something! There is a man of God who lives here in this town. He is held in high honor by all the people because everything he says comes true. Let’s go find him. Perhaps he can tell us which way to go.”
“But we don’t have anything to offer him,” Saul replied. “Even our food is gone, and we don’t have a thing to give him.”
“Well,” the servant said, “I have one small silver piece.[a] We can at least offer it to the man of God and see what happens!” (In those days if people wanted a message from God, they would say, “Let’s go and ask the seer,” for prophets used to be called seers.)
10 “All right,” Saul agreed, “let’s try it!” So they started into the town where the man of God lived.
11 As they were climbing the hill to the town, they met some young women coming out to draw water. So Saul and his servant asked, “Is the seer here today?”
12 “Yes,” they replied. “Stay right on this road. He is at the town gates. He has just arrived to take part in a public sacrifice up at the place of worship. 13 Hurry and catch him before he goes up there to eat. The guests won’t begin eating until he arrives to bless the food.”
14 So they entered the town, and as they passed through the gates, Samuel was coming out toward them to go up to the place of worship.
15 Now the Lord had told Samuel the previous day, 16 “About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him to be the leader of my people, Israel. He will rescue them from the Philistines, for I have looked down on my people in mercy and have heard their cry.”
17 When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said, “That’s the man I told you about! He will rule my people.”
18 Just then Saul approached Samuel at the gateway and asked, “Can you please tell me where the seer’s house is?”
19 “I am the seer!” Samuel replied. “Go up to the place of worship ahead of me. We will eat there together, and in the morning I’ll tell you what you want to know and send you on your way. 20 And don’t worry about those donkeys that were lost three days ago, for they have been found. And I am here to tell you that you and your family are the focus of all Israel’s hopes.”
21 Saul replied, “But I’m only from the tribe of Benjamin, the smallest tribe in Israel, and my family is the least important of all the families of that tribe! Why are you talking like this to me?”
22 Then Samuel brought Saul and his servant into the hall and placed them at the head of the table, honoring them above the thirty special guests. 23 Samuel then instructed the cook to bring Saul the finest cut of meat, the piece that had been set aside for the guest of honor.24 So the cook brought in the meat and placed it before Saul. “Go ahead and eat it,” Samuel said. “I was saving it for you even before I invited these others!” So Saul ate with Samuel that day.
25 When they came down from the place of worship and returned to town, Samuel took Saul up to the roof of the house and prepared a bed for him there.[b] 26 At daybreak the next morning, Samuel called to Saul, “Get up! It’s time you were on your way.” So Saul got ready, and he and Samuel left the house together. 27 When they reached the edge of town, Samuel told Saul to send his servant on ahead. After the servant was gone, Samuel said, “Stay here, for I have received a special message for you from God.”

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“Each day, I Thank God for His expertise in teaching me something new, like with back to school days, field trips, different classes, subjects, languages, rules, regulations, P.E., writing, reading, math, science, art, music and the study of Love, History and mankind.” ~ Jon Barnes

Basic

The basic fundamental foundation of all things come from God, The Master Artist, who paints with colors, music scores, science, math, language, wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and theories both known and unknown. The basics of LOVE carries all wisdom, knowledge, truth, honesty, and justice for all, as nothing can exist without God’s Love. Each day and breath are like Happy Birthday Peeps!

Belief

Over 5,000 years ago, our planet and culture looked different from city to city, language to language, culture to culture, and music to music. If we traveled back in time, we would not believe the new things we would have to do and learn just to survive in a moments notice. Your belief system would be quite different without the fear of the Lord, His bible and historical facts of our ancient relevant history and future to come.

Beyond

We are not God and cannot learn or know everything in such a short lifespan, but we have the tools to study, learn, grow, and work into the future and beyond, as God’s story lives, breaths, and unfolds. Pay close attention to the snap shots you are allowed to take and study what is not being said or seen and then you’ll be able to understand and enjoy what I mean. Pray, Be still, and Be Quiet for your lessons with God. Often times, we all talk too much. Back to the Basics circles in time around God, His Plans, Purpose, and Love with systems and cycles in play. You should too.

Leviticus 12

Purification after Childbirth

12 The Lord said to Moses, “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. If a woman becomes pregnant and gives birth to a son, she will be ceremonially unclean for seven days, just as she is unclean during her menstrual period. On the eighth day the boy’s foreskin must be circumcised. After waiting thirty-three days, she will be purified from the bleeding of childbirth. During this time of purification, she must not touch anything that is set apart as holy. And she must not enter the sanctuary until her time of purification is over. If a woman gives birth to a daughter, she will be ceremonially unclean for two weeks, just as she is unclean during her menstrual period. After waiting sixty-six days, she will be purified from the bleeding of childbirth.
“When the time of purification is completed for either a son or a daughter, the woman must bring a one-year-old lamb for a burnt offering and a young pigeon or turtledove for a purification offering. She must bring her offerings to the priest at the entrance of the Tabernacle.[a] The priest will then present them to the Lord to purify her.[b] Then she will be ceremonially clean again after her bleeding at childbirth. These are the instructions for a woman after the birth of a son or a daughter.
“If a woman cannot afford to bring a lamb, she must bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons. One will be for the burnt offering and the other for the purification offering. The priest will sacrifice them to purify her, and she will be ceremonially clean.”

Language Institute

font-705667_1920
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“You begin learning new languages when you are open and willing to communicate with the people you wish to talk with, as God is always willing to listen and speak to you, if you are willing to learn and speak His Language and live His Culture.”  ~ Jon Barnes

Support

Support what you love by learning and communicating the language of True Love from God. We all want the best of everything but many of us fail to put any effort in how to love each other, let alone God! What evidence and support do you have that connects you to God and His Communications System, Language, and Culture. Try accepting God’s support first and then support His Cause and Love Language.

Food

God’s History is food for Thought, Action, Wisdom, and Knowledge to read, memorize, digest, teach and share, so that we may do the will of God, support His Language, and provide honest understanding and practice of His Ways and Lifestyle.  You truly are what you eat! Support a good health diet from God’s Garden, Pantry, and Refrigerator. His snacks are pretty tasty too.

Digest

The digestion process can be tricky because you must see, hear, smell, and touch the food before you can put it into your mouth for consumption. No one is going to feed you, as you must feed, chew, swallow, digest, extract nutrients, and remove waste all by yourself. My job is to provide the language of understanding so that you may talk with God yourself. Eat His food, renew your mind, transform your heart, and save your soul with God’s Gospel and Good News.
Today’s Question
I you don’t know the language of God, how can you know or talk with Him?

Exodus 35

Instructions for the Sabbath

35 Then Moses called together the whole community of Israel and told them, “These are the instructions the Lord has commanded you to follow. You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day must be a Sabbath day of complete rest, a holy day dedicated to the Lord. Anyone who works on that day must be put to death. You must not even light a fire in any of your homes on the Sabbath.”

Offerings for the Tabernacle

Then Moses said to the whole community of Israel, “This is what the Lord has commanded: Take a sacred offering for the Lord. Let those with generous hearts present the following gifts to the Lord:
gold, silver, and bronze;
blue, purple, and scarlet thread;
fine linen and goat hair for cloth;
tanned ram skins and fine goatskin leather;
acacia wood;
olive oil for the lamps;
spices for the anointing oil and the fragrant incense;
onyx stones, and other gemstones to be set in the ephod and the priest’s chestpiece.
10 “Come, all of you who are gifted craftsmen. Construct everything that the Lordhas commanded:
11 the Tabernacle and its sacred tent, its covering, clasps, frames, crossbars, posts, and bases;
12 the Ark and its carrying poles;
the Ark’s cover—the place of atonement;
the inner curtain to shield the Ark;
13 the table, its carrying poles, and all its utensils;
the Bread of the Presence;
14 for light, the lampstand, its accessories, the lamp cups, and the olive oil for lighting;
15 the incense altar and its carrying poles;
the anointing oil and fragrant incense;
the curtain for the entrance of the Tabernacle;
16 the altar of burnt offering;
the bronze grating of the altar and its carrying poles and utensils;
the washbasin with its stand;
17 the curtains for the walls of the courtyard;
the posts and their bases;
the curtain for the entrance to the courtyard;
18 the tent pegs of the Tabernacle and courtyard and their ropes;
19 the beautifully stitched garments for the priests to wear while ministering in the Holy Place—the sacred garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons to wear as they minister as priests.”
20 So the whole community of Israel left Moses and returned to their tents. 21 All whose hearts were stirred and whose spirits were moved came and brought their sacred offerings to the Lord. They brought all the materials needed for the Tabernacle,[a] for the performance of its rituals, and for the sacred garments.22 Both men and women came, all whose hearts were willing. They brought to the Lord their offerings of gold—brooches, earrings, rings from their fingers, and necklaces. They presented gold objects of every kind as a special offering to the Lord. 23 All those who owned the following items willingly brought them: blue, purple, and scarlet thread; fine linen and goat hair for cloth; and tanned ram skins and fine goatskin leather. 24 And all who had silver and bronze objects gave them as a sacred offering to the Lord. And those who had acacia wood brought it for use in the project.
25 All the women who were skilled in sewing and spinning prepared blue, purple, and scarlet thread, and fine linen cloth. 26 All the women who were willing used their skills to spin the goat hair into yarn. 27 The leaders brought onyx stones and the special gemstones to be set in the ephod and the priest’s chestpiece. 28 They also brought spices and olive oil for the light, the anointing oil, and the fragrant incense. 29 So the people of Israel—every man and woman who was eager to help in the work the Lord had given them through Moses—brought their gifts and gave them freely to the Lord.
30 Then Moses told the people of Israel, “The Lord has specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. 31 The Lord has filled Bezalel with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts. 32 He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze.33 He is skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in carving wood. He is a master at every craft. 34 And the Lord has given both him and Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, the ability to teach their skills to others. 35 The Lordhas given them special skills as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue, purple, and scarlet thread on fine linen cloth, and weavers. They excel as craftsmen and as designers.
