Boogeyman

black-2028174_1280

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“There’s a reason why fear is a main tactic of the devil. It’s effective, unless you double down on the truth.”~TB

Lies

The devil will implement all types of lies and situations to get you fearful of your destiny. Like a pretend boogeyman, he’ll get you to avert your gaze from the Lord and onto your fears. Friends, this is merely a distraction ploy. Fear is such a visceral and powerful emotion, but it holds no bearing on the truth. Yes, the feeling of fear is very real, but the reality of its effects are only as real as you allow them to be. The devil is banking on you to cower in a corner because if you turn on the light with the truth, you’d see there is nothing actually there. The truth is your friend and guiding light. Lean into it!

Truth

The truth is that while bad things happen, we can overcome them. The only person that wins when you lose heart is the opposition. Friends, I implore you to look closely at your fears. They are not serving you, they are hindering you. God has and will continue to be a guiding force, but only if you let Him. This is where the Bible really comes in handy. When you read on a consistent basis, you will see that people have faced and endured hardships since the dawn of time. Granted, the battlefield has transferred from the land and into our thoughts. Be vigilant in what you feed your mind. Let the word of God guide you in times of fear so you can avoid the fake taunts of an inconsequential boogeyman.

Today’s Question

Have you read the Bible to light your way or are you still believing the lies of a boogeyman?

Psalm 126

1 When the LORD brought back his exiles to Jerusalem, it was like a dream!
2 We were filled with laughter, and we sang for joy. And the other nations said, “What amazing things the LORD has done for them.”
3 Yes, the LORD has done amazing things for us! What joy!
4 Restore our fortunes, LORD, as streams renew the desert.
5 Those who plant in tears will harvest with shouts of joy.
6 They weep as they go to plant their seed, but they sing as they return with the harvest.

Focus

archery-472932_1920.jpg

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“When you’re focused on the right things, it’s amazing to see how God works.”~TB

Purpose

God has given you a unique purpose that only you can fulfill. He will gently call you, and if you listen and answer, He will reveal His plans for you. Living a purposed-fill life in Christ can be challenging yet exciting. Walking with God requires you to put down the unclean things that once held your attention. At first, it will seem like a hard sacrifice. In time, however, you will come to realize that the things He is trying to give to you are more precious than anything you will find on this earth. Stay focused and on task.

Distractions

If you’re not careful, the world will distract you, turning your focus from your personal Biblical development to a secular superficial lifestyle. While God wants balance and peace for you, if you are asleep at the wheel and not staying in the Word, the opposition will sneak in to try and get you off of your path. Be vigilant as getting off track is subtle and almost seemingly harmless. But after a time, you will see the chaos that distractions cause. Stay focused to run and finish your personal race.

Today’s Question

Are you focused on your purpose or are you purposefully distracted?

Psalm 121

1 I look up to the mountains— does my help come from there?
2 My help comes from the LORD, who made heaven and earth!
3 He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.
4 Indeed, he who watches over Israel never slumbers or sleeps.
5 The LORD himself watches over you! The LORD stands beside you as your protective shade.
6 The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon at night.
7 The LORD keeps you from all harm and watches over your life.
8 The LORD keeps watch over you as you come and go, both now and forever.

Disasters

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“God allows disasters to occur to some people because of their disobedience, dishonesty, and self-centered lifestyle.”  ~  Jon Barnes

Self-Centered

From the mountaintop, you can see a better view of God’s organizational skills and it matches the depth of content that is written in His Bible for us to copy.  As an artist, who can also draw pictures, I musically can put a face to these concepts, ideas, commandments, and stories of faith, so that I can relate and clearly see the direction I must travel.

In Play

In trying to honestly obey God’s directives and principles, I am learning to center my energy into God’s Spiritual goals and not my self-centered fake goals.  This distraction of flesh and mind will pull you away from connecting with God, family, and people from a spiritually good place.  Conflict and vain topics mask and hide real issues and problems to face, discuss, and solve.  Too often, children stop listening to their parents because the proper interaction is not in play.

Game Face

Accountability is personal and we must share the weight of holding each other to a higher standard and calling upon our lives.  The big house, car, job, money, fame, and fortune is a cycle of self-centered torture, lies, and distractions, when the Love of God and people are not the focus of our motives.  The devil uses these golden candlesticks of wickedness to attract our attention, hold us hostage, and rob us of having a successful relationship with God and humanity.  The more you love God, the more honest your life becomes, the fewer disasters you will encounter. You don’t need a game face to see the image of God upon your heart and life.
Today’s Question
Do you need a disaster in your life so that God can get your attention or let the chips fall where they may?

Confusion

festival-517197_1920
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“Distractions are weapons used to divide and conquer the good intentions of loving people, hoping that you would overlook simplicity of truth and God’s story of Love.” ~ Jon Barnes

Distractions

When I see that extreme emotions being used to agitate and blindside people in their daily logical thinking process, I then place my full attention onto the fundamentals and commandments of God’s Love.  Then I’m able to make clear choices and decisions of the heart, after purging all the evil, which may lay dormant at the subatomic level.

Concentrate

We are all unable to concentrate in an annoyed state of mind so try to step back, pray, think, and focus on the truth, before you speak, write, or act.  This is the best weapon against confusion and distraction. Bless God!

Bless God

Bless God that you are not confused or distracted by the lies.  Be thankful that God has given you a steady mind, heart, eyes, ears, and body to control and work with.  Let’s continue to help all people to see and love the truth in a positive, respectful way.  Be prepared to help with good works.

Galatians 1

Paul, an apostle—sent not from men nor by a man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead— and all the brothers and sisters[a] with me,
To the churches in Galatia:
Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

No Other Gospel

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting the one who called you to live in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel— which is really no gospel at all. Evidently some people are throwing you into confusion and are trying to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God’s curse! As we have already said, so now I say again: If anybody is preaching to you a gospel other than what you accepted, let them be under God’s curse!
10 Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Paul Called by God

11 I want you to know, brothers and sisters, that the gospel I preached is not of human origin. 12 I did not receive it from any man, nor was I taught it; rather, I received it by revelation from Jesus Christ.
13 For you have heard of my previous way of life in Judaism, how intensely I persecuted the church of God and tried to destroy it. 14 I was advancing in Judaism beyond many of my own age among my people and was extremely zealous for the traditions of my fathers. 15 But when God, who set me apart from my mother’s womb and called me by his grace, was pleased 16 to reveal his Son in me so that I might preach him among the Gentiles, my immediate response was not to consult any human being. 17 I did not go up to Jerusalem to see those who were apostles before I was, but I went into Arabia. Later I returned to Damascus.
18 Then after three years, I went up to Jerusalem to get acquainted with Cephas[b]and stayed with him fifteen days. 19 I saw none of the other apostles—only James, the Lord’s brother. 20 I assure you before God that what I am writing you is no lie.
21 Then I went to Syria and Cilicia. 22 I was personally unknown to the churches of Judea that are in Christ. 23 They only heard the report: “The man who formerly persecuted us is now preaching the faith he once tried to destroy.” 24 And they praised God because of me.

Jonathan

Yourself

self-815795_1920
Hi Peeps,
Today’s quote
“In the Room and At The Gate, the only person you can blame is Yourself for doing or not doing a Good Job for God.”
~ Jon Barnes

Challenge Yourself

In life, many people spend time complaining, murmuring, fixing the problems of others, reading, watching, and doing everything but what God has planned for their lives.  I still struggle with this and laugh at myself for wasting precious time on doing so little, for Heaven’s Sake! When you walk into the room, be the One for God!  Why argue the mundane when you can focus on completing the sane commandments of love, and fulfill the Love Purpose in your lifestyle. Challenge yourself not to be bad, gossip company.

Respect Yourself

What you do for God is what you do for yourself.  When you walk into the Room, any Room, Keep this in mind.  Then your motives will become obvious enough to complete your assignments with respect to God and then yourself.  I cannot respect myself, if I don’t respect God first, before completing my work of love. RESPECT is what the word and work means to God and yourself, as you complete each little love job inside every little room you walk into, everywhere you Go.  Good Character and Graceful lips Go a long way.

Love Yourself

God does not change or waste His time on Hypocrites, because they love themselves and not God!  Many get this point wrong! Here is why: True Christians Love God first, by doing the work, word, and obeying the commandments and lifestyle, and then you can see and feel how much God loves you, which is what gives you the wisdom to love yourself (Your Soul) properly.  Time, money, schedule, assignments, play, rest, work, worship, and church time flow like daily bread and water from God, as a result.  Be yourself and be on task or blame yourself for not doing so. Use and love God’s new solutions.

1 Corinthians 16New International Version (NIV)

The Collection for the Lord’s People

16 Now about the collection for the Lord’s people: Do what I told the Galatian churches to do. On the first day of every week, each one of you should set aside a sum of money in keeping with your income, saving it up, so that when I come no collections will have to be made. Then, when I arrive, I will give letters of introduction to the men you approve and send them with your gift to Jerusalem. If it seems advisable for me to go also, they will accompany me.

Personal Requests

After I go through Macedonia, I will come to you—for I will be going through Macedonia. Perhaps I will stay with you for a while, or even spend the winter, so that you can help me on my journey, wherever I go. For I do not want to see you now and make only a passing visit; I hope to spend some time with you, if the Lord permits. But I will stay on at Ephesus until Pentecost, because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me.
10 When Timothy comes, see to it that he has nothing to fear while he is with you, for he is carrying on the work of the Lord, just as I am. 11 No one, then, should treat him with contempt. Send him on his way in peace so that he may return to me. I am expecting him along with the brothers.
12 Now about our brother Apollos: I strongly urged him to go to you with the brothers. He was quite unwilling to go now, but he will go when he has the opportunity.
13 Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. 14 Do everything in love.
15 You know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts in Achaia, and they have devoted themselves to the service of the Lord’s people. I urge you, brothers and sisters, 16 to submit to such people and to everyone who joins in the work and labors at it. 17 I was glad when Stephanas, Fortunatus and Achaicus arrived, because they have supplied what was lacking from you. 18 For they refreshed my spirit and yours also. Such men deserve recognition.

Final Greetings

19 The churches in the province of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Priscilla[a] greet you warmly in the Lord, and so does the church that meets at their house. 20 All the brothers and sisters here send you greetings. Greet one another with a holy kiss.
21 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand.
22 If anyone does not love the Lord, let that person be cursed! Come, Lord[b]!
23 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with you.
24 My love to all of you in Christ Jesus. Amen.[c]

Love,

Jonathan
