My Watch

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“On your watch, it is your responsibility to protect, love, mentor, and keep your family safe, focused and well trained in the ways of God and Love with clear examples, ready for battle at any time!” — Jon Barnes

When

When I was young and in need, I wanted someone to help mentor me and spend some time each day to show, model, explain, re-teach, quiz, and make sure that I understood each message, lesson, and commandment about Love from God.  My parents, family, wife, kids, friends, and enemies could only do the best they could do.  Time is limited. But, when you learn to ask God to mentor you, then you become among the ones with the best answers in the room, for understanding.

Look Up

People will look up to you for solutions to copy and fix personal problems.  Your insight and management skills will train others to do better, when you accept what God is teaching you.  Lazy people who refuse to comply to God’s methods will live a lifestyle that says, danger, disaster, problems, roadblocks, greed, wast, and foolishness all over their face.  Look up and you will see these people coming, many from your own family.  Often times it is you who will be doing the wrong things until you ask God yourself!  Look up, seek, and pray!

Destination

In every culture from the beginning of time, someone introduced a wicked practice of disobedience, greed, hatred, envy, laziness, dishonor, lying, cheating, and enslaving others with their hunger for power and injustice. Many have followed this evil. The love of God does not do these things, but His Holy Spirit teaches us how to pray, play, work, and share what we are blessings.  Thought history, there are short periods of time in which we listen to God and this actually works well, before it all goes to hell again.
Today’s Question
Will you keep listening to God or will you become distracted with your own agendas of disobedience?

1 Chronicles 13

Bringing Back the Ark

13 David conferred with each of his officers, the commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds. He then said to the whole assembly of Israel, “If it seems good to you and if it is the will of the Lord our God, let us send word far and wide to the rest of our people throughout the territories of Israel, and also to the priests and Levites who are with them in their towns and pasturelands, to come and join us. Let us bring the ark of our God back to us, for we did not inquire of[a] it[b] during the reign of Saul.” The whole assembly agreed to do this, because it seemed right to all the people.
So David assembled all Israel, from the Shihor River in Egypt to Lebo Hamath, to bring the ark of God from Kiriath Jearim. David and all Israel went to Baalah of Judah (Kiriath Jearim) to bring up from there the ark of God the Lord, who is enthroned between the cherubim—the ark that is called by the Name.
They moved the ark of God from Abinadab’s house on a new cart, with Uzzah and Ahio guiding it. David and all the Israelites were celebrating with all their might before God, with songs and with harps, lyres, timbrels, cymbals and trumpets.
When they came to the threshing floor of Kidon, Uzzah reached out his hand to steady the ark, because the oxen stumbled. 10 The Lord’s anger burned against Uzzah, and he struck him down because he had put his hand on the ark. So he died there before God.
11 Then David was angry because the Lord’s wrath had broken out against Uzzah, and to this day that place is called Perez Uzzah.[c]
12 David was afraid of God that day and asked, “How can I ever bring the ark of God to me?”13 He did not take the ark to be with him in the City of David. Instead, he took it to the house of Obed-Edom the Gittite. 14 The ark of God remained with the family of Obed-Edom in his house for three months, and the Lord blessed his household and everything he had.

Childlike Minds

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“The Mind of Kids need something More to do with their time during the day, away from the TV, Games, and Sports…  They must have MUSIC and Art Language to express Love; The sounds of Physical and Applied Science can be visually seen, heard, felt, smelled, touched, and tasted, with each Good Note.” ~ Jon Barnes

Changed Mind

A child’s mind is developed from the actions of love from the heart of the parents, family, caregivers, teachers, preachers, government, leaders, policies, procedures, technology, and other influences of God’s Loving Provisions.  We abuse God’s loving provisions with evil, greed, lust, power, lies, and laziness, which is in the heart of every wicked person, who do not share God’s Love and ideas.

Loving Provision

Loving Provisions are stripped away from evil people, leaving them to die in their sins, making Hell a wonderful personal place of worship for eternity.  Loving Provisions are given to Good People who follow God and His Commandments in obedience to biblical lifestyle, knowing that the Richness of God and His Grace, Mercy, and Kindness will reward the faithful with the riches of LOVE. See what I’m saying, share the love!

Mature Minds

From the Heart, God speaks to your repented heart, by covering you with His Blood to wash away your daily sins,  teaching your mind and instructing your body to walk in Biblical Love.  Your light shines and your deeds walk before God in truth and in Spirit, that connects you to God!  Your daily work is of a Mature Minded, Child of God, worthy of Heaven’s Rewards! Otherwise, you are an evil child of Satan, capable of doing anything, avoiding God’s Truth and LOVE.
Today’s Question
Are you willing to pay the cost of disobedience and self imposed ignorance of an empty mind and veiled, dead heart?

2 Corinthians 4New International Version (NIV)

Present Weakness and Resurrection Life

Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart.Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing. The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake. For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,”[a] made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.
But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. 10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.
13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.”[b] Since we have that same spirit of[c] faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself. 15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all. 18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
Love,
Jonathan

Self Employed Status

home-office-336377_1920
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“When you learn that your are self employed, you can never fire yourself, even while working for someone else.”  ~ Jon Barnes

The Lazy Worker

When you work for yourself, you exercise the benefits of becoming smarter and successful, since you had to learn how to work twice as hard compared to the average person. Realizing that you can not afford to make regular, simple mistakes with your time, resources, ideas, and money, real sweat turns a lazy worker into an amazing worker.  This honest, working, exercising behavior and mindset is the key for future blessings of real entrepreneurial status with God. He will not respect your laziness.

Be Fair

Greed kills a great idea with money and opportunity rotting in the ground, because you didn’t commit to honest value with trade, goods, and services.  Don’t be cheap with your money and love, as you pay and bless people.  Your blessing is not just about possessions.  It is about your soul and it’s eternal destination and you will want God to be fair with your Fare of Heavenly assets that will not burn, rot, or be stolen. Be Fair if you care about your Fare.  What you do to people is what you will do to God, if given the opportunity, just like the devil!

Take Care

Guard you heart so that you don’t become corrupt in your thinking, business, prayers, and Good Deeds. Build an army of Good people to work and create with you with the same mind set of Christ, in love to help others and make a real difference in your community. I work for the school system and I also work for myself.  Balance and respect your time and others, then God will respect you.  Take care if you dare to become great in love for God.
Today’s Question
Are You Self Employed, yet?

Luke 1New International Version (NIV)

Introduction

Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled[a]among us, just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. With this in mind, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, I too decided to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught.

The Birth of John the Baptist Foretold

In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron. Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly. But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old.
Once when Zechariah’s division was on duty and he was serving as priest before God, he was chosen by lot, according to the custom of the priesthood, to go into the temple of the Lord and burn incense. 10 And when the time for the burning of incense came, all the assembled worshipers were praying outside.
11 Then an angel of the Lord appeared to him, standing at the right side of the altar of incense. 12 When Zechariah saw him, he was startled and was gripped with fear. 13 But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John. 14 He will be a joy and delight to you, and many will rejoice because of his birth, 15 for he will be great in the sight of the Lord. He is never to take wine or other fermented drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born. 16 He will bring back many of the people of Israel to the Lord their God. 17 And he will go on before the Lord, in the spirit and power of Elijah, to turn the hearts of the parents to their children and the disobedient to the wisdom of the righteous—to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.”
18 Zechariah asked the angel, “How can I be sure of this? I am an old man and my wife is well along in years.”
19 The angel said to him, “I am Gabriel. I stand in the presence of God, and I have been sent to speak to you and to tell you this good news. 20 And now you will be silent and not able to speak until the day this happens, because you did not believe my words, which will come true at their appointed time.”
21 Meanwhile, the people were waiting for Zechariah and wondering why he stayed so long in the temple. 22 When he came out, he could not speak to them. They realized he had seen a vision in the temple, for he kept making signs to them but remained unable to speak.
23 When his time of service was completed, he returned home. 24 After this his wife Elizabeth became pregnant and for five months remained in seclusion. 25 “The Lord has done this for me,” she said. “In these days he has shown his favor and taken away my disgrace among the people.”

The Birth of Jesus Foretold

26 In the sixth month of Elizabeth’s pregnancy, God sent the angel Gabriel to Nazareth,a town in Galilee, 27 to a virgin pledged to be married to a man named Joseph, a descendant of David. The virgin’s name was Mary. 28 The angel went to her and said, “Greetings, you who are highly favored! The Lord is with you.”
29 Mary was greatly troubled at his words and wondered what kind of greeting this might be. 30 But the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. 31 You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus.32 He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High. The Lord God will give him the throne of his father David, 33 and he will reign over Jacob’s descendants forever; his kingdom will never end.”
34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
35 The angel answered, “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called[b] the Son of God.36 Even Elizabeth your relative is going to have a child in her old age, and she who was said to be unable to conceive is in her sixth month. 37 For no word from God will ever fail.”
38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.” Then the angel left her.

Mary Visits Elizabeth

39 At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea,40 where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! 43 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

Mary’s Song

46 And Mary said:
“My soul glorifies the Lord
47     and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
48 for he has been mindful
of the humble state of his servant.
From now on all generations will call me blessed,
49     for the Mighty One has done great things for me—
    holy is his name.
50 His mercy extends to those who fear him,
    from generation to generation.
51 He has performed mighty deeds with his arm;
he has scattered those who are proud in their inmost thoughts.
52 He has brought down rulers from their thrones
but has lifted up the humble.
53 He has filled the hungry with good things
but has sent the rich away empty.
54 He has helped his servant Israel,
    remembering to be merciful
55 to Abraham and his descendants forever,
just as he promised our ancestors.”
56 Mary stayed with Elizabeth for about three months and then returned home.

The Birth of John the Baptist

57 When it was time for Elizabeth to have her baby, she gave birth to a son. 58 Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown her great mercy, and they shared her joy.
59 On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to name him after his father Zechariah, 60 but his mother spoke up and said, “No! He is to be called John.”
61 They said to her, “There is no one among your relatives who has that name.”
62 Then they made signs to his father, to find out what he would like to name the child.63 He asked for a writing tablet, and to everyone’s astonishment he wrote, “His name is John.” 64 Immediately his mouth was opened and his tongue set free, and he began to speak, praising God. 65 All the neighbors were filled with awe, and throughout the hill country of Judea people were talking about all these things. 66 Everyone who heard this wondered about it, asking, “What then is this child going to be?” For the Lord’s hand was with him.

Zechariah’s Song

67 His father Zechariah was filled with the Holy Spirit and prophesied:
68 “Praise be to the Lord, the God of Israel,
because he has come to his people and redeemed them.
69 He has raised up a horn[c] of salvation for us
in the house of his servant David
70 (as he said through his holy prophets of long ago),
71 salvation from our enemies
and from the hand of all who hate us—
72 to show mercy to our ancestors
and to remember his holy covenant,
73     the oath he swore to our father Abraham:
74 to rescue us from the hand of our enemies,
and to enable us to serve him without fear
75     in holiness and righteousness before him all our days.
76 And you, my child, will be called a prophet of the Most High;
for you will go on before the Lord to prepare the way for him,
77 to give his people the knowledge of salvation
through the forgiveness of their sins,
78 because of the tender mercy of our God,
by which the rising sun will come to us from heaven
79 to shine on those living in darkness
and in the shadow of death,
to guide our feet into the path of peace.”
80 And the child grew and became strong in spirit[d]; and he lived in the wilderness until he appeared publicly to Israel.

Jonathan

Excellent Execution

darts-102919_1920
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“You will not get the full reward of doing good when you don’t exercise this practice on a daily basis to see real results and it’s benefits, given by God.”  ~ Jon Barnes

Exercise

“I know what to do, but I don’t do it”– is not an excuse for flaking on the job and we all use it everyday.  We lie to ourselves all of the time, being distracted, lazy, sorry, and not committed to God, let alone a simple job, family task, or daily functions.  The TV, Phone, Computer, Gossip, and many other little bad habits deplete our production time for work, play, rest, and God.

Build Muscle

Becoming fat with sin, our real work never begins and we pretend each day again and again; always trying to hide the sin. Yes, I have to repent constantly to move the fat of life’s choices out of my heart to embrace the love of good work, faith, and God’s purpose.  The struggle is real, but I am no fool.  Fight the good fight. Build your muscles and use the tools, commandments, laws and rules.  Muscle fights the fat spiritually, physically and intellectually so the light of Good and God Shines Through!

Body Weight

Take what you need to run your race, whether you swim, walk, hop, skip, jump, float, run, or crawl. Develop the mindset to expect good work to work for you and exercise your benefits to receive your rewards.  Set your goal, take that extra step, hop, skip, jump, run, swim, etc to move your life into action in the good direction. Excellence in execution is a process of good work, love, fun, enjoyment, sleep, relaxation and rewards from God.  Allow God’s movement to become your movement and transform your spiritual, physical, and intellectual body mass into what God has designed you to become.

Today’s Question
Have you called (Jenny Craig Yet, LOL, I mean…)  God yet to manage your good works and body weight?

Mark 5New International Version (NIV)

Jesus Restores a Demon-Possessed Man

They went across the lake to the region of the Gerasenes.[a] When Jesus got out of the boat, a man with an impure spirit came from the tombs to meet him. This man lived in the tombs, and no one could bind him anymore, not even with a chain. For he had often been chained hand and foot, but he tore the chains apart and broke the irons on his feet. No one was strong enough to subdue him. Night and day among the tombs and in the hills he would cry out and cut himself with stones.
When he saw Jesus from a distance, he ran and fell on his knees in front of him. He shouted at the top of his voice, “What do you want with me, Jesus, Son of the Most High God? In God’s name don’t torture me!” For Jesus had said to him, “Come out of this man, you impure spirit!”
Then Jesus asked him, “What is your name?”
“My name is Legion,” he replied, “for we are many.” 10 And he begged Jesus again and again not to send them out of the area.
11 A large herd of pigs was feeding on the nearby hillside. 12 The demons begged Jesus, “Send us among the pigs; allow us to go into them.” 13 He gave them permission, and the impure spirits came out and went into the pigs. The herd, about two thousand in number, rushed down the steep bank into the lake and were drowned.
14 Those tending the pigs ran off and reported this in the town and countryside, and the people went out to see what had happened. 15 When they came to Jesus, they saw the man who had been possessed by the legion of demons, sitting there, dressed and in his right mind; and they were afraid. 16 Those who had seen it told the people what had happened to the demon-possessed man—and told about the pigs as well.17 Then the people began to plead with Jesus to leave their region.
18 As Jesus was getting into the boat, the man who had been demon-possessed begged to go with him. 19 Jesus did not let him, but said, “Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” 20 So the man went away and began to tell in the Decapolis[b] how much Jesus had done for him. And all the people were amazed.

Jesus Raises a Dead Girl and Heals a Sick Woman

21 When Jesus had again crossed over by boat to the other side of the lake, a large crowd gathered around him while he was by the lake. 22 Then one of the synagogue leaders, named Jairus, came, and when he saw Jesus, he fell at his feet. 23 He pleaded earnestly with him, “My little daughter is dying. Please come and put your hands onher so that she will be healed and live.” 24 So Jesus went with him.
A large crowd followed and pressed around him. 25 And a woman was there who had been subject to bleeding for twelve years. 26 She had suffered a great deal under the care of many doctors and had spent all she had, yet instead of getting better she grew worse. 27 When she heard about Jesus, she came up behind him in the crowd and touched his cloak, 28 because she thought, “If I just touch his clothes, I will be healed.”29 Immediately her bleeding stopped and she felt in her body that she was freed from her suffering.
30 At once Jesus realized that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and asked, “Who touched my clothes?”
31 “You see the people crowding against you,” his disciples answered, “and yet you can ask, ‘Who touched me?’ ”
32 But Jesus kept looking around to see who had done it. 33 Then the woman, knowing what had happened to her, came and fell at his feet and, trembling with fear, told him the whole truth. 34 He said to her, “Daughter, your faith has healed you. Go in peaceand be freed from your suffering.”
35 While Jesus was still speaking, some people came from the house of Jairus, the synagogue leader. “Your daughter is dead,” they said. “Why bother the teacher anymore?”
36 Overhearing[c] what they said, Jesus told him, “Don’t be afraid; just believe.”
37 He did not let anyone follow him except Peter, James and John the brother of James. 38 When they came to the home of the synagogue leader, Jesus saw a commotion, with people crying and wailing loudly. 39 He went in and said to them,“Why all this commotion and wailing? The child is not dead but asleep.” 40 But they laughed at him.
After he put them all out, he took the child’s father and mother and the disciples who were with him, and went in where the child was. 41 He took her by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum!” (which means “Little girl, I say to you, get up!”). 42 Immediately the girl stood up and began to walk around (she was twelve years old). At this they were completely astonished. 43 He gave strict orders not to let anyone know about this, and told them to give her something to eat.
