Speed

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote
“Tempo and speed are of no concern to God, because all things are still to Him!” Jon Barnes

Tempo

The tempo of life is a variation upon the theme, yet life is the theme of today. Along with it brings the emotional message of the soul that is hidden, yet here to stay, forever.  Which focus will you commit to, the lifestyle to the Heavenly Rich and Famous or the lifestyle of the poor victim’s burn unit? Choose your tempo wisely.

Variations

We hope, live, and love with God’s truth and meaning to reveal the understanding and wisdom of God.  This honest theme is not like the fast, flash, and fleshy lifestyle of the world.  Our vapor of love should move slowly to enjoy every second of every breath we take, before our last one arrives. Still quickly getting the good work done, no pun intended.

Movement

The quality of your movement is directly proportionate to the quality of faith, love, and charity you have committed to God, with honor, quality, honesty, and care. You know that every movement that you make comes from the Power of God, which will get you there. Pray for God’s Speed and not your own speed! Enjoy life’s variations and movements in God.
Today’s Question
Are you being still for God so that He can teach you to become a fast, efficient, strong, love ant of goodness and mercy?

2 Peter 3

The Day of the Lord

Dear friends, this is now my second letter to you. I have written both of them as reminders to stimulate you to wholesome thinking. I want you to recall the words spoken in the past by the holy prophets and the command given by our Lord and Savior through your apostles.
Above all, you must understand that in the last days scoffers will come, scoffing and following their own evil desires. They will say, “Where is this ‘coming’ he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation.” But they deliberately forget that long ago by God’s wordthe heavens came into being and the earth was formed out of water and by water.By these waters also the world of that time was deluged and destroyed. By the same word the present heavens and earth are reserved for fire, being kept for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly.
But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day. The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief. The heavens will disappear with a roar; the elements will be destroyed by fire, and the earth and everything done in it will be laid bare.[a]
11 Since everything will be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be? You ought to live holy and godly lives 12 as you look forward to the day of God and speed its coming.[b] That day will bring about the destruction of the heavens by fire, and the elements will melt in the heat. 13 But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.
14 So then, dear friends, since you are looking forward to this, make every effort to be found spotless, blameless and at peace with him. 15 Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. 16 He writes the same way in all his letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
17 Therefore, dear friends, since you have been forewarned, be on your guard so that you may not be carried away by the error of the lawless and fall from your secure position. 18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and forever! Amen.
Love,
Jonathan

The Good Hurt

adult-1846050_1920

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Change is a daily activity that hurts, as it is not easy to do such good work.” ~ Jon Barnes

Comfort

We get comfortable doing the easy exercises in life, while ignoring the real work we need to do for good growth and healthy maintenance. Setting up good new goals will mean we need to learn something new from God’s wisdom. The bible is old yet the information is still new to our daily behaviors and habits.

Habit

Dropping old habits and learning good new habits can be a challenge for us, as God blesses. Recognizing a turn of page in your family, career, and mindset is the beginning of improved focus, direction, and purpose. The improved new habits become more helpful, full of life, and action when we allow God to develop our new talents of service for people.

Hurts

It hurts to see people stuck in the past, living life as if it will last forever in that rut. Forgive and move on so that God’s new blessings and good work shines as a new dawn.  In your life, make the new things right, by dumping out the old stuff, cleaning old wounds, and healing your heart. The sight of success begins with happiness, working with God in our faithfulness. Hurt converts into conviction and heavenly progress.

Today’s Question

Did you welcome family flight plight of politely piloting your way through negative feelings to communicate God’s new plans with better life experiences to this new generation?

1 Peter 5

To the Elders and the Flock

To the elders among you, I appeal as a fellow elder and a witness of Christ’s sufferings who also will share in the glory to be revealed: Be shepherds of God’s flock that is under your care, watching over them—not because you must, but because you are willing, as God wants you to be; not pursuing dishonest gain, but eager to serve; not lording it over those entrusted to you, but being examples to the flock. And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
In the same way, you who are younger, submit yourselves to your elders. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,
“God opposes the proud
but shows favor to the humble.”[a]
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God’s mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith, because you know that the family of believers throughout the world is undergoing the same kind of sufferings.
10 And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. 11 To him be the power for ever and ever. Amen.

Final Greetings

12 With the help of Silas,[b] whom I regard as a faithful brother, I have written to you briefly, encouraging you and testifying that this is the true grace of God. Stand fast in it.
13 She who is in Babylon, chosen together with you, sends you her greetings, and so does my son Mark. 14 Greet one another with a kiss of love.
Peace to all of you who are in Christ.

Love,
Jonathan

Mindsets

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“I enjoy learning, listening, thinkings, growing, chewing, processing, and crunching God’s Biblical Data to then scientifically study how truthful this information exist and works in my heart, mind, body, and soul, which clearly describes and musically pictures how the cogs of habitat work together in our world for our Good!”  ~Jon Barnes

Learning

I personally discovered my chemical balance and optimal state of learning and competing with myself, during a music competition in middle school, with my teacher Dave Hariston. He said, eat a big breakfast and come to school ready to win this competition.  It turns out for me that my belly was full but my mind was asleep, like I had been drugged. I couldn’t concentrate and I didn’t do well in my performance. So I tried something different the next time.

Something New

This time I ate nothing until the competition was over and realized that my attention levels and abilities were at an all time high, helping me to think and execute my plans, goals, and dreams.  It worked.  Right On! I did the work and then I ate.  Work for your food became my code for life. As a result, God has delivered me from my selfish, self-destructive modes of self indulgence, glitter, glamor, and famous foolishness of Greed and contempt. This is something new to think about on an empty stomach! Eat less.

Work For Food

Working for God and His Spiritual Food has the same effect on my life.  I will wake up and get God’s Work done first, before I eat or drink and then the rest of the day flies to the moon and back with such great joy and love.  My heart and motives navigate my chemical and genetic predispositions of my mind and body functions, so that I maintain control over my destination, opportunities, and fate, which was put into God’s Hands, first thing in the morning, each day, out of obedience!  That is my secret and Mind Set towards God out of LOVE not science. Think like God, which is FAR bigger than science!

2 Corinthians 2New International Version (NIV)

So I made up my mind that I would not make another painful visit to you. For if I grieve you, who is left to make me glad but you whom I have grieved? I wrote as I did, so that when I came I would not be distressed by those who should have made me rejoice. I had confidence in all of you, that you would all share my joy. For I wrote you out of great distress and anguish of heart and with many tears, not to grieve you but to let you know the depth of my love for you.

Forgiveness for the Offender

If anyone has caused grief, he has not so much grieved me as he has grieved all of you to some extent—not to put it too severely. The punishment inflicted on him by the majority is sufficient. Now instead, you ought to forgive and comfort him, so that he will not be overwhelmed by excessive sorrow. I urge you, therefore, to reaffirm your love for him. Another reason I wrote you was to see if you would stand the test and be obedient in everything. 10 Anyone you forgive, I also forgive. And what I have forgiven—if there was anything to forgive—I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake, 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.

Ministers of the New Covenant

12 Now when I went to Troas to preach the gospel of Christ and found that the Lord had opened a door for me, 13 I still had no peace of mind, because I did not find my brother Titus there. So I said goodbye to them and went on to Macedonia.
14 But thanks be to God, who always leads us as captives in Christ’s triumphal procession and uses us to spread the aroma of the knowledge of him everywhere.15 For we are to God the pleasing aroma of Christ among those who are being saved and those who are perishing. 16 To the one we are an aroma that brings death; to the other, an aroma that brings life. And who is equal to such a task? 17 Unlike so many, we do not peddle the word of God for profit. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as those sent from God.
