Reject

notes-514998_1920 (1)

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Being made new in Christ means rejecting your old ways and adopting the lifestyle of Christ”~TB

Change

Now that the Truth has been revealed to you, you are marked, cemented in God’s stable. This means that you have to reject previous sins, thoughts, and actions. The same behavior that got you into a turbulent lifestyle cannot remain when you are made new in Christ. You can try to cling onto your past life, but what you will find is the behavior of yesterday will never grant you the peace you experience in Christ. This is because the Holy Spirit within you can never find satisfaction in the fleshly sinful practices of man. No, it requires Biblical fuel to thrive. Save yourself some time and headache by adopting the principles and behaviors of Christ.

Exist

Freedom in Christ means existing in the Holy peace that a Christlike mentality brings. This can only happen when you let your guard down and allow Him to lead your life. If you can continually check your ego and pride at the door, you will eventually see that what you were trying to defend was not yours to defend at all! Allow God to handle your affairs. Live in peace among one another and do not let the judgments of man dictate your perception of the Lord. Focus on Him to learn how to Biblically move in this world and you will see that life isn’t as chaotic and random as the world would let you believe.

Today’s Question

Are you hitting your head trying to keep a dead lifestyle or are you reading to adopt your new life?

Psalm 112

1 Praise the LORD ! How joyful are those who fear the LORD and delight in obeying his commands.
2 Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed.
3 They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever.
4 Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous.
5 Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly.
6 Such people will not be overcome by evil. Those who are righteous will be long remembered.
7 They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them.
8 They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.
9 They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honor.
10 The wicked will see this and be infuriated. They will grind their teeth in anger; they will slink away, their hopes thwarted.

Plagiarism

omr-3723128_1920

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Copying someone else’s faith without putting in the effort to have a personal relationship with God is like plagiarizing an F paper.”~TB

Foundation

No pastor, preacher, prophet, or human can build a relationship with God for you. Sure, they can lead and encourage you to the Source, but you have to put in the effort. The foundation of your faith has to be your direct connection with Him. If you don’t turn off all of the worldly distractions and spend your time with God, there is no way you can grow in faith. Be honest with yourselves to create a foundation that is rooted in the Truth. The path to God is simple. The discipline to follow the simple path, well, that depends on you.

Doubt Happens by Cheating

Following God in an ostentatiously flawed world is challenging. There are so many people who criticize, disparage and doubt God. When people behave this way,  it’s because they themselves have not done the personal work to get to know Him. When you copy their fake ideas and agenda, it’s no wonder you fall prey to their doubt. You cheated and tried to gain access using the incorrect answers. If you don’t study for a test, how do you expect to know the right answers from the wrong ones? More to the point, if you don’t know God, how do you expect to understand His answers and reject the incorrect human answers? You can’t, which is why your faith sucks. There is none!

Flawed Logic

We are all idiot sinners, destined to continue being flawed, which is the exact reason you must cultivate your own connection to the Lord. Sure, we improve as we walk closer with Him, but we will never be perfect. People will always fall short, so if you copy their external faith, you only see the human side of a spiritual relationship. Because you cannot hear their conversations with God, you only see the flaws. On the outside, of course, it looks busted! Because you copied the wrong answers for a test that is uniquely yours. My test is different than your test. Your test is different than mine. But we all have the same studying tools available to learn and understand how to pass our own personal tests. Keep your eyes on your own paper.

Today’s Question

Are you studying for your Holy exam or are you copying the answers of a failed test?

Psalm 111

1 Praise the LORD ! I will thank the LORD with all my heart as I meet with his godly people.
2 How amazing are the deeds of the LORD ! All who delight in him should ponder them.
3 Everything he does reveals his glory and majesty. His righteousness never fails.
4 He causes us to remember his wonderful works. How gracious and merciful is our LORD !
5 He gives food to those who fear him; he always remembers his covenant.
6 He has shown his great power to his people by giving them the lands of other nations.
7 All he does is just and good, and all his commandments are trustworthy.
8 They are forever true, to be obeyed faithfully and with integrity.
9 He has paid a full ransom for his people. He has guaranteed his covenant with them forever. What a holy, awe-inspiring name he has!
10 Fear of the LORD is the foundation of true wisdom. All who obey his commandments will grow in wisdom. Praise him forever!

Who Can You Blame

glasses-1246611_1920 (1).jpg

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“If God continually invests His resources and time into you and you still don’t get it, who can you blame?”~TB

Optics

When you use God’s Holy lens to view your life, you learn not to sweat the small stuff because you understand the greater importance that He has placed on your life. People, situations, problems, and the like are easier to navigate because you see the playing field from a Biblical perspective. Using God’s resources, your trials become less trivial, as you experience peace in even the harshest conditions. Friends, you cannot survive this world successfully without the provisions of God. Step out of your understanding and rely on His.

Myopic

When you refuse to use the Holy resources that are abundantly available, your sight is useless. Everyone else is at fault for your existence and peace is but a dream because you lack the Biblical vision to pass your Holy eye exam. Step back and look again! God has been with you this whole time. The Bible is available to you in every format possible. Quit licking your superficial wounds and cling to the Truth! If you fail to confer with your Father in Heaven, that is your fault. So step off of your sanctimonious cross and use your Holy resources! Stop using your myopic viewpoint and adopt God’s superior vision to life in the Truth.

Today’s Question

Who can you blame if you fail to do your own work?

Psalm 110

1 The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit in the place of honor at my right hand until I humble your enemies, making them a footstool under your feet.”
2 The LORD will extend your powerful kingdom from Jerusalem ; you will rule over your enemies.
3 When you go to war, your people will serve you willingly. You are arrayed in holy garments, and your strength will be renewed each day like the morning dew.
4 The LORD has taken an oath and will not break his vow: “You are a priest forever in the order of Melchizedek.”
5 The Lord stands at your right hand to protect you. He will strike down many kings when his anger erupts.
6 He will punish the nations and fill their lands with corpses; he will shatter heads over the whole earth.
7 But he himself will be refreshed from brooks along the way. He will be victorious.

Know Your Opponent

basketball-2258650_1920.jpg

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“It is important to study and learn the tricks of the enemy so you know exactly who you’re dealing with and how to avoid the traps.”~TB

Defense

If you look at any successful professional athlete, one thing is abundantly clear, they study their opponent. They learn how the opposing team plays, their best moves, and most importantly, their weaknesses. Friends, to create a solid defense against the devil, you must understand who you’re dealing with. This isn’t to scare you, but for you to gain confidence in your game of life.  Faith grows by trust and action. To get the best defense, study the Word. Evil’s greatest weakness is the Truth, God is on the throne and a fallen angel is powerless to overturn an already won championship. When your defense is Biblically based, you’re able to sidestep the nonsense to shoot the J.

Offense

When your defense is based on the Truth, your offense looks bright because you’re shining in the light of salvation. Trust that God’s playbook contains the right offensive plays for you to score in your game of life. If you let Him, He’ll even teach you how to play with others. Armed with the Truth, you can assist your teammates, helping them score their Holy jump shot because you know this is a team effort and that everyone has the talent to give. Playing as a unit, the opposition cannot steal your ball because your plays are Biblically based. The devil cannot even compete and his team is easily swept by God’s Holy unit. How wonderful it is to be on the undefeated team!

Today’s Question

Are you playing on the right team or is it time for a trade?

Psalm 109

1 O God, whom I praise, don’t stand silent and aloof
2 while the wicked slander me and tell lies about me.
3 They surround me with hateful words and fight against me for no reason.
4 I love them, but they try to destroy me with accusations even as I am praying for them!
5 They repay evil for good, and hatred for my love.
6 They say, “Get an evil person to turn against him. Send an accuser to bring him to trial.
7 When his case comes up for judgment, let him be pronounced guilty. Count his prayers as sins.
8Let his years be few; let someone else take his position.
9 May his children become fatherless, and his wife a widow.
10 May his children wander as beggars and be driven from their ruined homes.
11 May creditors seize his entire estate, and strangers take all he has earned.
12Let no one be kind to him; let no one pity his fatherless children.
13 May all his offspring die. May his family name be blotted out in the next generation.
14 May the LORD never forget the sins of his fathers; may his mother’s sins never be erased from the record.
15 May the LORD always remember these sins, and may his name disappear from human memory.
16 For he refused all kindness to others; he persecuted the poor and needy, and he hounded the brokenhearted to death.
17 He loved to curse others; now you curse him. He never blessed others; now don’t you bless him.
18 Cursing is as natural to him as his clothing, or the water he drinks, or the rich food he eats.
19 Now may his curses return and cling to him like clothing; may they be tied around him like a belt.”
20 May those curses become the LORD ’s punishment for my accusers who speak evil of me.
21 But deal well with me, O Sovereign LORD, for the sake of your own reputation! Rescue me because you are so faithful and good.
22 For I am poor and needy, and my heart is full of pain.
23 I am fading like a shadow at dusk; I am brushed off like a locust.
24 My knees are weak from fasting, and I am skin and bones.
25 I am a joke to people everywhere; when they see me, they shake their heads in scorn.
26 Help me, O LORD my God! Save me because of your unfailing love.
27 Let them see that this is your doing, that you yourself have done it, LORD .
28Then let them curse me if they like, but you will bless me! When they attack me, they will be disgraced! But I, your servant, will go right on rejoicing!
29May my accusers be clothed with disgrace; may their humiliation cover them like a cloak.
30 But I will give repeated thanks to the LORD, praising him to everyone.
31 For he stands beside the needy, ready to save them from those who condemn them.

Doublespeak

self-portrait-532021_1920

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Be leery of people who paint their evil deeds as righteous choices. They are like a wolf in sheep’s clothing.”~TB

Twisted Rhetoric

You arrogantly believe that you can fit God into your box of perversion, laziness, and idolatry. Instead of writing His Word on your hearts, you reject it, creating your own religion. You blindly adopt wicked and contemptible practices disguising your sin with words like “choice”, “freedom”, and “love”. Yet, you practice none of these things. You practice murder, laziness, and idolatry. Do whatever you want, but call it what it is! Your behaviors and practices are not of God.  Stop distorting the Truth for your own gain. Your doublespeak cannot save you from His wrath. Your evil ways have brought this on yourself.

Take Responsibility

You foolish people, you want to be free to sin, yet you don’t want the responsibility of your sinful deeds! How can you boast in your stupidity yet cry victim when it comes time to reap what you’ve sown? Then you kill and blame the innocent for your idiotic practices because you don’t want to drink the foul liquid you’ve poured. Stop justifying your actions with flimsy excuses. You were of “sound” mind when you committed sinful practices. But when you are caught, you claim to be ill. Oh, what a stupid and depraved nation this world has become. What is done in the dark will be brought into the light, so repent now or face the consequences come judgment day.

Today’s Question

Are you using doublespeak to justify your sin?

Psalm 108

1 My heart is confident in you, O God; no wonder I can sing your praises with all my heart!
2 Wake up, lyre and harp! I will wake the dawn with my song.
3 I will thank you, LORD, among all the people. I will sing your praises among the nations.
4 For your unfailing love is higher than the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the clouds.
5 Be exalted, O God, above the highest heavens. May your glory shine over all the earth.
6 Now rescue your beloved people. Answer and save us by your power.
7 God has promised this by his holiness : “I will divide up Shechem with joy. I will measure out the valley of Succoth.
8 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh, too. Ephraim, my helmet, will produce my warriors, and Judah, my scepter, will produce my kings.
9 But Moab, my washbasin, will become my servant, and I will wipe my feet on Edom and shout in triumph over Philistia.”
10Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who will bring me victory over Edom?
11 Have you rejected us, O God? Will you no longer march with our armies?
12 Oh, please help us against our enemies, for all human help is useless.
13 With God’s help we will do mighty things, for he will trample down our foes.

Hedging your bets

cards-1030852_1920.jpg

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“When you fail to cultivate a relationship and understanding with God, you are hedging your bets, placing your faith in a fallen world”~TB

Splitting Hairs

People do not want to take responsibility for learning the Truth, so they split hairs to justify their laziness. Willfully blind people will cherry pick lines from the Bible to “refute” the Truth. Instead of reading to understand, they read to criticize, judge, and condemn. Friends, the Bible cannot be understood by the blind, so why do you listen to them? When you fail to read the Bible for yourself, you fall prey to their wicked defiance because you lack the context, understanding, and sight to recognize the Truth. Stop allowing half-truths to dictate your life. If you cannot speak or see things plainly, you are operating out of confusion.

Hail Mary

Following all religions is like trying to play it safe without putting in the honest effort. There is only one road to salvation, everything else is shoddy imitations, pretending to mirror the real thing. If you cherry pick from multiple theologies to justify your salvation, truly you have none. What’s sad about those who try and conform to all “gods” is that they fail to know who they are worshipping. How can you believe or follow something that you have not learned or practiced? More to the point, how can you follow God without reading the Word or forming a relationship with Him? The point is, without the Truth, all else is a lie. Do not wait until the end to throw a hail mary for your salvation. While you have the ability to be saved, God recognizes your heart, not just your words.

Today’s Question

Are you gambling with the Truth and placing your bets in Hell?

Psalm 107

1 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
2 Has the LORD redeemed you? Then speak out! Tell others he has redeemed you from your enemies.
3 For he has gathered the exiles from many lands, from east and west, from north and south.
4 Some wandered in the wilderness, lost and homeless.
5 Hungry and thirsty, they nearly died.
6 “ LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he rescued them from their distress.
7 He led them straight to safety, to a city where they could live.
8 Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
9 For he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
10 Some sat in darkness and deepest gloom, imprisoned in iron chains of misery.
11 They rebelled against the words of God, scorning the counsel of the Most High.
12 That is why he broke them with hard labor; they fell, and no one was there to help them.
13 “ LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
14 He led them from the darkness and deepest gloom; he snapped their chains.
15 Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
16 For he broke down their prison gates of bronze; he cut apart their bars of iron.
17 Some were fools; they rebelled and suffered for their sins.
18 They couldn’t stand the thought of food, and they were knocking on death’s door.
19 “ LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
20He sent out his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death.
21 Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
22 Let them offer sacrifices of thanksgiving and sing joyfully about his glorious acts.
23 Some went off to sea in ships, plying the trade routes of the world.
24 They, too, observed the LORD ’s power in action, his impressive works on the deepest seas.
25 He spoke, and the winds rose, stirring up the waves.
26 Their ships were tossed to the heavens and plunged again to the depths; the sailors cringed in terror.
27 They reeled and staggered like drunkards and were at their wits’ end.
28 “ LORD, help!” they cried in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress.
29 He calmed the storm to a whisper and stilled the waves.
30 What a blessing was that stillness as he brought them safely into harbor!
31 Let them praise the LORD for his great love and for the wonderful things he has done for them.
32 Let them exalt him publicly before the congregation and before the leaders of the nation.
33 He changes rivers into deserts, and springs of water into dry, thirsty land.
34He turns the fruitful land into salty wastelands, because of the wickedness of those who live there.
35 But he also turns deserts into pools of water, the dry land into springs of water.
36 He brings the hungry to settle there and to build their cities.
37 They sow their fields, plant their vineyards, and harvest their bumper crops.
38 How he blesses them! They raise large families there, and their herds of livestock increase.
39 When they decrease in number and become impoverished through oppression, trouble, and sorrow,
40 the LORD pours contempt on their princes, causing them to wander in trackless wastelands.
41 But he rescues the poor from trouble and increases their families like flocks of sheep.
42 The godly will see these things and be glad, while the wicked are struck silent.
43 Those who are wise will take all this to heart; they will see in our history the faithful love of the LORD .

Mindset

peace-of-mind-349815_1920

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Set your mind on God to experience His Truth” ~TB

Mind

Your mind is a gift or a curse– depending on how you use it. You can choose to fill it with God’s wisdom, live an obedient life, and be kind to your neighbors. Or, you can fill it with filth, walk around mindlessly, preferring destruction over peace. Sure, those seem drastically different, but the Truth is living in or out of God’s Will Is drastically different. Do not be fooled by the external lives of others. Only God can truly examine one’s heart. Work on your mind and don’t fall prey to the fake minds around you.

Set

When you set your mind, thoughts, and actions of God you rely on His strength and wisdom and not your own. The impossible becomes possible because you understand that you need Him in everything that you are and everything that you do. Allowing God to steer your mind sets you up for the peace and joy He graciously offers. It is a gift like no other and humans are unable to recreate such things. When you set your mind on the things of the flesh, you welcome confusion, stupor, and chaos. Friends, the human mind is incapable of such a Holy Mindset. Rely on Him.

Today’s Question

Is your mind set on God or do you have a fleshly mindset?

Psalm 106

1 Praise the LORD ! Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good! His faithful love endures forever.
2 Who can list the glorious miracles of the LORD ? Who can ever praise him enough?
3 There is joy for those who deal justly with others and always do what is right.
4 Remember me, LORD, when you show favor to your people; come near and rescue me.
5 Let me share in the prosperity of your chosen ones. Let me rejoice in the joy of your people; let me praise you with those who are your heritage.
6 Like our ancestors, we have sinned. We have done wrong! We have acted wickedly!
7 Our ancestors in Egypt were not impressed by the LORD ’s miraculous deeds. They soon forgot his many acts of kindness to them. Instead, they rebelled against him at the Red Sea.
8 Even so, he saved them— to defend the honor of his name and to demonstrate his mighty power.
9 He commanded the Red Sea to dry up. He led Israel across the sea as if it were a desert.
10 So he rescued them from their enemies and redeemed them from their foes.
11 Then the water returned and covered their enemies; not one of them survived.
12 Then his people believed his promises. Then they sang his praise.
13 Yet how quickly they forgot what he had done! They wouldn’t wait for his counsel!
14 In the wilderness their desires ran wild, testing God’s patience in that dry wasteland.
15 So he gave them what they asked for, but he sent a plague along with it.
16 The people in the camp were jealous of Moses and envious of Aaron, the LORD ’s holy priest.
17 Because of this, the earth opened up; it swallowed Dathan and buried Abiram and the other rebels.
18 Fire fell upon their followers; a flame consumed the wicked.
19 The people made a calf at Mount Sinai ; they bowed before an image made of gold.
20 They traded their glorious God for a statue of a grass-eating bull.
21 They forgot God, their savior, who had done such great things in Egypt—
22 such wonderful things in the land of Ham, such awesome deeds at the Red Sea.
23 So he declared he would destroy them. But Moses, his chosen one, stepped between the LORD and the people. He begged him to turn from his anger and not destroy them.
24 The people refused to enter the pleasant land, for they wouldn’t believe his promise to care for them.
25 Instead, they grumbled in their tents and refused to obey the LORD .
26 Therefore, he solemnly swore that he would kill them in the wilderness,
27 that he would scatter their descendants among the nations, exiling them to distant lands.
28Then our ancestors joined in the worship of Baal at Peor; they even ate sacrifices offered to the dead!
29 They angered the LORD with all these things, so a plague broke out among them.
30 But Phinehas had the courage to intervene, and the plague was stopped.
31 So he has been regarded as a righteous man ever since that time.
32 At Meribah, too, they angered the LORD, causing Moses serious trouble.
33 They made Moses angry, and he spoke foolishly.
34 Israel failed to destroy the nations in the land, as the LORD had commanded them.
35 Instead, they mingled among the pagans and adopted their evil customs.
36 They worshiped their idols, which led to their downfall.
37 They even sacrificed their sons and their daughters to the demons.
38 They shed innocent blood, the blood of their sons and daughters. By sacrificing them to the idols of Canaan, they polluted the land with murder.
39 They defiled themselves by their evil deeds, and their love of idols was adultery in the LORD ’s sight.
40 That is why the LORD ’s anger burned against his people, and he abhorred his own special possession.
41 He handed them over to pagan nations, and they were ruled by those who hated them.
42 Their enemies crushed them and brought them under their cruel power.
43 Again and again he rescued them, but they chose to rebel against him, and they were finally destroyed by their sin.
44 Even so, he pitied them in their distress and listened to their cries.
45 He remembered his covenant with them and relented because of his unfailing love.
46 He even caused their captors to treat them with kindness.
47 Save us, O LORD our God! Gather us back from among the nations, so we can thank your holy name and rejoice and praise you.
48 Praise the LORD, the God of Israel, who lives from everlasting to everlasting! Let all the people say, “Amen!” Praise the LORD !
