Business

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“There’s no business, like God’s business.”

TB

Fools

People lie, but God does not. For this reason, if God lets you in on His business plans, you had better follow them. Leave the business of fools to the fools.

ROI

The ROI of accepting salvation is so high that only eternity can be a valid measure. Friends, mind your business and follow Christ so that you don’t go under.

Today’s Question

Are you in the business of heaven or hell?

Deuteronomy 10

1 “At that time the LORD said to me, ‘Chisel out two stone tablets like the first ones. Also make a wooden Ark—a sacred chest to store them in. Come up to me on the mountain, 2 and I will write on the tablets the same words that were on the ones you smashed. Then place the tablets in the Ark.’ 3 “So I made an Ark of acacia wood and cut two stone tablets like the first two. Then I went up the mountain with the tablets in my hand. 4 Once again the LORD wrote the Ten Commandments on the tablets and gave them to me. They were the same words the LORD had spoken to you from the heart of the fire on the day you were assembled at the foot of the mountain. 5 Then I turned and came down the mountain and placed the tablets in the Ark of the Covenant, which I had made, just as the LORD commanded me. And the tablets are still there in the Ark.” 6 (The people of Israel set out from the wells of the people of Jaakan and traveled to Moserah, where Aaron died and was buried. His son Eleazar ministered as high priest in his place. 7 Then they journeyed to Gudgodah, and from there to Jotbathah, a land with many brooks and streams. 8 At that time the LORD set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the Ark of the LORD ’s Covenant, and to stand before the LORD as his ministers, and to pronounce blessings in his name. These are their duties to this day. 9 That is why the Levites have no share of property or possession of land among the other Israelite tribes. The LORD himself is their special possession, as the LORD your God told them.) 10 “As for me, I stayed on the mountain in the LORD ’s presence for forty days and nights, as I had done the first time. And once again the LORD listened to my pleas and agreed not to destroy you. 11 Then the LORD said to me, ‘Get up and resume the journey, and lead the people to the land I swore to give to their ancestors, so they may take possession of it.’ 12 “And now, Israel, what does the LORD your God require of you? He requires only that you fear the LORD your God, and live in a way that pleases him, and love him and serve him with all your heart and soul. 13 And you must always obey the LORD ’s commands and decrees that I am giving you today for your own good. 14 “Look, the highest heavens and the earth and everything in it all belong to the LORD your God. 15 Yet the LORD chose your ancestors as the objects of his love. And he chose you, their descendants, above all other nations, as is evident today. 16 Therefore, change your hearts and stop being stubborn. 17 “For the LORD your God is the God of gods and Lord of lords. He is the great God, the mighty and awesome God, who shows no partiality and cannot be bribed. 18 He ensures that orphans and widows receive justice. He shows love to the foreigners living among you and gives them food and clothing. 19 So you, too, must show love to foreigners, for you yourselves were once foreigners in the land of Egypt. 20 You must fear the LORD your God and worship him and cling to him. Your oaths must be in his name alone. 21 He alone is your God, the only one who is worthy of your praise, the one who has done these mighty miracles that you have seen with your own eyes. 22 When your ancestors went down into Egypt, there were only seventy of them. But now the LORD your God has made you as numerous as the stars in the sky!

Fools

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Let fools be fools and don’t engage.”

TB

Pointless

There’s a reason why the Bible has several passages about foolish people. When folks are ok with toiling in confusion, they will try and attract others to join in with their nonsense. Friends, you can love your brothers and sisters while not engaging in tomfoolery.

Clarity

It’s interesting that most of the world’s behavioral practices run a front to how God created us to be. The opposition will use fools to do his bidding, so do not engage and they will leave. Study the word so that you may discern foolish behavior and avoid those who revel in it.

Today’s Question

Are you entertaining fools because you didn’t get the message?

Numbers 15

1 Then the LORD told Moses, 2 “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. “When you finally settle in the land I am giving you, 3 you will offer special gifts as a pleasing aroma to the LORD . These gifts may take the form of a burnt offering, a sacrifice to fulfill a vow, a voluntary offering, or an offering at any of your annual festivals, and they may be taken from your herds of cattle or your flocks of sheep and goats. 4 When you present these offerings, you must also give the LORD a grain offering of two quarts of choice flour mixed with one quart of olive oil. 5 For each lamb offered as a burnt offering or a special sacrifice, you must also present one quart of wine as a liquid offering. 6 “If the sacrifice is a ram, give a grain offering of four quarts of choice flour mixed with a third of a gallon of olive oil, 7 and give a third of a gallon of wine as a liquid offering. This will be a pleasing aroma to the LORD . 8 “When you present a young bull as a burnt offering or as a sacrifice to fulfill a vow or as a peace offering to the LORD, 9 you must also give a grain offering of six quarts of choice flour mixed with two quarts of olive oil, 10 and give two quarts of wine as a liquid offering. This will be a special gift, a pleasing aroma to the LORD . 11 “Each sacrifice of a bull, ram, lamb, or young goat should be prepared in this way. 12 Follow these instructions with each offering you present. 13 All of you native-born Israelites must follow these instructions when you offer a special gift as a pleasing aroma to the LORD . 14 And if any foreigners visit you or live among you and want to present a special gift as a pleasing aroma to the LORD, they must follow these same procedures. 15 Native-born Israelites and foreigners are equal before the LORD and are subject to the same decrees. This is a permanent law for you, to be observed from generation to generation. 16 The same instructions and regulations will apply both to you and to the foreigners living among you.” 17 Then the LORD said to Moses, 18 “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel. “When you arrive in the land where I am taking you, 19 and you eat the crops that grow there, you must set some aside as a sacred offering to the LORD . 20 Present a cake from the first of the flour you grind, and set it aside as a sacred offering, as you do with the first grain from the threshing floor. 21 Throughout the generations to come, you are to present a sacred offering to the LORD each year from the first of your ground flour. 22 “But suppose you unintentionally fail to carry out all these commands that the LORD has given you through Moses. 23 And suppose your descendants in the future fail to do everything the LORD has commanded through Moses. 24 If the mistake was made unintentionally, and the community was unaware of it, the whole community must present a young bull for a burnt offering as a pleasing aroma to the LORD . It must be offered along with its prescribed grain offering and liquid offering and with one male goat for a sin offering. 25 With it the priest will purify the whole community of Israel, making them right with the LORD, and they will be forgiven. For it was an unintentional sin, and they have corrected it with their offerings to the LORD —the special gift and the sin offering. 26 The whole community of Israel will be forgiven, including the foreigners living among you, for all the people were involved in the sin. 27 “If one individual commits an unintentional sin, the guilty person must bring a one-year-old female goat for a sin offering. 28 The priest will sacrifice it to purify the guilty person before the LORD, and that person will be forgiven. 29 These same instructions apply both to native-born Israelites and to the foreigners living among you. 30 “But those who brazenly violate the LORD ’s will, whether native-born Israelites or foreigners, have blasphemed the LORD, and they must be cut off from the community. 31 Since they have treated the LORD ’s word with contempt and deliberately disobeyed his command, they must be completely cut off and suffer the punishment for their guilt.” 32 One day while the people of Israel were in the wilderness, they discovered a man gathering wood on the Sabbath day. 33 The people who found him doing this took him before Moses, Aaron, and the rest of the community. 34 They held him in custody because they did not know what to do with him. 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, “The man must be put to death! The whole community must stone him outside the camp.” 36 So the whole community took the man outside the camp and stoned him to death, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. 37 Then the LORD said to Moses, 38 “Give the following instructions to the people of Israel: Throughout the generations to come you must make tassels for the hems of your clothing and attach them with a blue cord. 39 When you see the tassels, you will remember and obey all the commands of the LORD instead of following your own desires and defiling yourselves, as you are prone to do. 40 The tassels will help you remember that you must obey all my commands and be holy to your God. 41 I am the LORD your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt that I might be your God. I am the LORD your God!”

Will be Done

Hi Peeps,

“In spite of our foolishness, God’s will is always done.”

TB

Random

The dumb things we do can feel as if they change the course of God’s plan. The opposition will use these moments to cast doubt into our minds. Well, lucky for us, God has already factored in our stupidity. Because we cannot see what God sees, these random events are despairing and may cause us to question what we know. The beauty of this is that God and His teachings welcome questions and dialogue.

Set

The Bible is the absolute guide to understanding God’s plan, the nature of people, and how we are called to live in a sin-fallen world. Friends, trust me when I say, there is nothing new under the sun. Just because the technology is more advanced, it does not change the root cause of sinful behavior. So read, review, study, and question the word, so that you may see the unyielding nature of God’s will.

Today’s Question

Have you forgotten that we are dependent on God and not the other way around?

Genesis 7

1 When everything was ready, the LORD said to Noah, “Go into the boat with all your family, for among all the people of the earth, I can see that you alone are righteous. 2 Take with you seven pairs—male and female—of each animal I have approved for eating and for sacrifice, and take one pair of each of the others. 3 Also take seven pairs of every kind of bird. There must be a male and a female in each pair to ensure that all life will survive on the earth after the flood. 4 Seven days from now I will make the rains pour down on the earth. And it will rain for forty days and forty nights, until I have wiped from the earth all the living things I have created.” 5 So Noah did everything as the LORD commanded him. 6 Noah was 600 years old when the flood covered the earth. 7 He went on board the boat to escape the flood—he and his wife and his sons and their wives. 8 With them were all the various kinds of animals—those approved for eating and for sacrifice and those that were not—along with all the birds and the small animals that scurry along the ground. 9 They entered the boat in pairs, male and female, just as God had commanded Noah. 10 After seven days, the waters of the flood came and covered the earth. 11 When Noah was 600 years old, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the underground waters erupted from the earth, and the rain fell in mighty torrents from the sky. 12 The rain continued to fall for forty days and forty nights. 13 That very day Noah had gone into the boat with his wife and his sons—Shem, Ham, and Japheth—and their wives. 14 With them in the boat were pairs of every kind of animal—domestic and wild, large and small—along with birds of every kind. 15 Two by two they came into the boat, representing every living thing that breathes. 16 A male and female of each kind entered, just as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD closed the door behind them. 17 For forty days the floodwaters grew deeper, covering the ground and lifting the boat high above the earth. 18 As the waters rose higher and higher above the ground, the boat floated safely on the surface. 19 Finally, the water covered even the highest mountains on the earth, 20 rising more than twenty-two feet above the highest peaks. 21 All the living things on earth died—birds, domestic animals, wild animals, small animals that scurry along the ground, and all the people. 22 Everything that breathed and lived on dry land died. 23 God wiped out every living thing on the earth—people, livestock, small animals that scurry along the ground, and the birds of the sky. All were destroyed. The only people who survived were Noah and those with him in the boat. 24 And the floodwaters covered the earth for 150 days.

Confidently Foolish

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Be wary of a confident fool.”

TB

Sow

Anyone can say anything confidently. But, put their words to the test, then you’ll see who is foolish and who is wise. Words, just like seeds, need time to grow. It is in the harvest where you will see if the crop is wheat or weeds. A fool will tell you that the sky is yellow even though you can plainly see it for yourself. Does their confidence make their statement true? No! For this reason, do not blindly believe what people say, especially when it pertains to Christ and His teachings.

Grow

Don’t listen to confident fools who sing fake songs about God. Instead, ask God and learn by reading the word. We are fortunate to be in a time where we can humbly go before Him and He will tell you the Truth Himself! So friends, do not listen to the sweet nothings of false teachers, preachers, profits, and the like. They sing songs that bring death. But if you truly desire to sit at the feet of Christ, He will delight in your honest effort, extending you a seat at His table.

Today’s Question

Are you personally talking with God or are you getting fake answers from a fool?

Hosea 5

1 “Hear this, you priests. Pay attention, you leaders of Israel. Listen, you members of the royal family. Judgment has been handed down against you. For you have led the people into a snare by worshiping the idols at Mizpah and Tabor. 2 You have dug a deep pit to trap them at Acacia Grove. But I will settle with you for what you have done. 3 I know what you are like, O Ephraim. You cannot hide yourself from me, O Israel. You have left me as a prostitute leaves her husband; you are utterly defiled. 4 Your deeds won’t let you return to your God. You are a prostitute through and through, and you do not know the LORD . 5 “The arrogance of Israel testifies against her; Israel and Ephraim will stumble under their load of guilt. Judah, too, will fall with them. 6 When they come with their flocks and herds to offer sacrifices to the LORD, they will not find him, because he has withdrawn from them. 7 They have betrayed the honor of the LORD, bearing children that are not his. Now their false religion will devour them along with their wealth. 8 “Sound the alarm in Gibeah! Blow the trumpet in Ramah! Raise the battle cry in Beth-aven ! Lead on into battle, O warriors of Benjamin! 9 One thing is certain, Israel : On your day of punishment, you will become a heap of rubble. 10 “The leaders of Judah have become like thieves. So I will pour my anger on them like a waterfall. 11 The people of Israel will be crushed and broken by my judgment because they are determined to worship idols. 12 I will destroy Israel as a moth consumes wool. I will make Judah as weak as rotten wood. 13 “When Israel and Judah saw how sick they were, Israel turned to Assyria— to the great king there— but he could neither help nor cure them. 14 I will be like a lion to Israel, like a strong young lion to Judah. I will tear them to pieces! I will carry them off, and no one will be left to rescue them. 15 Then I will return to my place until they admit their guilt and turn to me. For as soon as trouble comes, they will earnestly search for me.”

Fools

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Don’t lose your Biblical sense in the pursuit of chasing cents.”

TB

Checks

The Bible sure talks about fools a lot, especially how His people should not interact with them. Seriously, look it up. Fools are bad for business. Be that as it may, why is it that so many fools run businesses? Well, because many folks will entertain fools it the price is right. When fools get into power, they put other fools into power, corrupting the very flow of work and prosperity. Friends, what good is a fortune if it’s in exchange for your soul?

Balances

We must balance our spiritual check books because God is the ultimate Accountant. His payout is way higher and everlasting than any deal a human being can make. Instead of trading your gifts and labor for pennies on the dollar, take a step back and ask yourself ‘does God really want this for me?’. Friends, the beauty and curse of free will is that we choose the path that we’re on. So don’t forfeit spiritual wisdom for ill-gotten fleshly gains.

Today’s Question

Are you ruled by God-given sense or flesh-driven cents?

Ezekiel 7

1 Then this message came to me from the LORD : 2 “Son of man, this is what the Sovereign LORD says to Israel: “The end is here! Wherever you look— east, west, north, or south— your land is finished. 3 No hope remains, for I will unleash my anger against you. I will call you to account for all your detestable sins. 4 I will turn my eyes away and show no pity. I will repay you for all your detestable sins. Then you will know that I am the LORD . 5 “This is what the Sovereign LORD says: Disaster after disaster is coming your way! 6 The end has come. It has finally arrived. Your final doom is waiting! 7 O people of Israel, the day of your destruction is dawning. The time has come; the day of trouble is near. Shouts of anguish will be heard on the mountains, not shouts of joy. 8 Soon I will pour out my fury on you and unleash my anger against you. I will call you to account for all your detestable sins. 9 I will turn my eyes away and show no pity. I will repay you for all your detestable sins. Then you will know that it is I, the LORD, who is striking the blow. 10 “The day of judgment is here; your destruction awaits! The people’s wickedness and pride have blossomed to full flower. 11 Their violence has grown into a rod that will beat them for their wickedness. None of these proud and wicked people will survive. All their wealth and prestige will be swept away. 12 Yes, the time has come; the day is here! Buyers should not rejoice over bargains, nor sellers grieve over losses, for all of them will fall under my terrible anger. 13 Even if the merchants survive, they will never return to their business. For what God has said applies to everyone— it will not be changed! Not one person whose life is twisted by sin will ever recover. 14 “The trumpet calls Israel’s army to mobilize, but no one listens, for my fury is against them all. 15 There is war outside the city and disease and famine within. Those outside the city walls will be killed by enemy swords. Those inside the city will die of famine and disease. 16 The survivors who escape to the mountains will moan like doves, weeping for their sins. 17 Their hands will hang limp, their knees will be weak as water. 18 They will dress themselves in burlap; horror and shame will cover them. They will shave their heads in sorrow and remorse. 19 “They will throw their money in the streets, tossing it out like worthless trash. Their silver and gold won’t save them on that day of the LORD ’s anger. It will neither satisfy nor feed them, for their greed can only trip them up. 20 They were proud of their beautiful jewelry and used it to make detestable idols and vile images. Therefore, I will make all their wealth disgusting to them. 21 I will give it as plunder to foreigners, to the most wicked of nations, and they will defile it. 22 I will turn my eyes from them as these robbers invade and defile my treasured land. 23 “Prepare chains for my people, for the land is bloodied by terrible crimes. Jerusalem is filled with violence. 24 I will bring the most ruthless of nations to occupy their homes. I will break down their proud fortresses and defile their sanctuaries. 25 Terror and trembling will overcome my people. They will look for peace but not find it. 26 Calamity will follow calamity; rumor will follow rumor. They will look in vain for a vision from the prophets. They will receive no teaching from the priests and no counsel from the leaders. 27 The king and the prince will stand helpless, weeping in despair, and the people’s hands will tremble with fear. I will bring on them the evil they have done to others, and they will receive the punishment they so richly deserve. Then they will know that I am the LORD .”

Scam

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Don’t let the devil scam you out of your inheritance”~TB

Fool’s Gold

Evil’s job is to scam you out of your God-given inheritance. When you’re tired, leary, and impressionable, he’ll come up to you and offer the riches, attention, and desires of the world. This sin-fallen world is worth a hill of beans, yet many will happily sell their soul to try and rule it. Friends, don’t you see the devil is trying to trade your salvation for temporary fake pleasures and an eternity of hell?

Wise Up

A hedonistic lifestyle is superficially desirable because to the untrained eye it is glittery and illustrious. Of course, heathens seem like they’re having all of the fun. How else do you expect sin to work? If sin appeared as evil and as hideous as it actually is, we wouldn’t dare touch it! Look closer, and you will begin to see the cracks in the glitter and the torment that worldly desire brings. Learn to discern God’s true riches from the fake, so that you free yourselves from a scammy lifestyle.

Today’s Question

Are you enjoying your inheritance or did you trade it in a scam?

Psalm 124

1 What if the LORD had not been on our side? Let all Israel repeat:
2What if the LORD had not been on our side when people attacked us?
3They would have swallowed us alive in their burning anger.
4 The waters would have engulfed us; a torrent would have overwhelmed us.
5 Yes, the raging waters of their fury would have overwhelmed our very lives.
6Praise the LORD, who did not let their teeth tear us apart!
7 We escaped like a bird from a hunter’s trap. The trap is broken, and we are free!
8 Our help is from the LORD, who made heaven and earth.

Rock It

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“God has me studying with rocket scientist in bible studies in Los Alamos so that I can see that it is not rocket science, but simple equations of truth; 1 + 1 = 2.” ~ Jon Barnes

Joy

It is a joy to love, give, share, and learn from all people from around the world. In my travels, I see the same science of love, logic, and proof that God is God, who has established set parameters on all things. I explained this concept to someone today and quite often in the past.  Foolish things exist for the “Day of Fools” and I am full of joy because I am not a fool.  Many people do not believe in God and it is a sad reality. Their actions speak clearly and their confusion comes from laziness.

Clearly

When your actions speak clearly to the people around you, your faith and works grow stronger in the Lord. Your children act and move in the direction you live and God respects your personal offering of lifestyle changes necessary for true repentance and following Christ. You can follow whoever you want, but at the Pearly Gates, Only God will let you in or you will be part of the eternal lava pit.

Eternal

Eternal Joy comes from God and you can receive it now by doing the work of faith and following God’s path and plans. Don’t complicate God’s path and plans. Simplify your mind with biblical submersion so that your thinking is easier, more relaxed, and honest about what you do with your time each day. Internalize this joy and process of hope in God so that you can live the dream of Love now and forever.

1 Kings 2

David’s Final Instructions to Solomon

As the time of King David’s death approached, he gave this charge to his son Solomon:
“I am going where everyone on earth must someday go. Take courage and be a man. Observe the requirements of the Lord your God, and follow all his ways. Keep the decrees, commands, regulations, and laws written in the Law of Moses so that you will be successful in all you do and wherever you go. If you do this, then the Lord will keep the promise he made to me. He told me, ‘If your descendants live as they should and follow me faithfully with all their heart and soul, one of them will always sit on the throne of Israel.’
“And there is something else. You know what Joab son of Zeruiah did to me when he murdered my two army commanders, Abner son of Ner and Amasa son of Jether. He pretended that it was an act of war, but it was done in a time of peace,[a] staining his belt and sandals with innocent blood.[b] Do with him what you think best, but don’t let him grow old and go to his grave in peace.[c]
“Be kind to the sons of Barzillai of Gilead. Make them permanent guests at your table, for they took care of me when I fled from your brother Absalom.
“And remember Shimei son of Gera, the man from Bahurim in Benjamin. He cursed me with a terrible curse as I was fleeing to Mahanaim. When he came down to meet me at the Jordan River, I swore by the Lord that I would not kill him.But that oath does not make him innocent. You are a wise man, and you will know how to arrange a bloody death for him.[d]
10 Then David died and was buried with his ancestors in the City of David. 11 David had reigned over Israel for forty years, seven of them in Hebron and thirty-three in Jerusalem. 12 Solomon became king and sat on the throne of David his father, and his kingdom was firmly established.

Solomon Establishes His Rule

13 One day Adonijah, whose mother was Haggith, came to see Bathsheba, Solomon’s mother. “Have you come with peaceful intentions?” she asked him.
“Yes,” he said, “I come in peace. 14 In fact, I have a favor to ask of you.”
“What is it?” she asked.
15 He replied, “As you know, the kingdom was rightfully mine; all Israel wanted me to be the next king. But the tables were turned, and the kingdom went to my brother instead; for that is the way the Lord wanted it. 16 So now I have just one favor to ask of you. Please don’t turn me down.”
“What is it?” she asked.
17 He replied, “Speak to King Solomon on my behalf, for I know he will do anything you request. Ask him to let me marry Abishag, the girl from Shunem.”
18 “All right,” Bathsheba replied. “I will speak to the king for you.”
19 So Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak on Adonijah’s behalf. The king rose from his throne to meet her, and he bowed down before her. When he sat down on his throne again, the king ordered that a throne be brought for his mother, and she sat at his right hand.
20 “I have one small request to make of you,” she said. “I hope you won’t turn me down.”
“What is it, my mother?” he asked. “You know I won’t refuse you.”
21 “Then let your brother Adonijah marry Abishag, the girl from Shunem,” she replied.
22 “How can you possibly ask me to give Abishag to Adonijah?” King Solomon demanded. “You might as well ask me to give him the kingdom! You know that he is my older brother, and that he has Abiathar the priest and Joab son of Zeruiah on his side.”
23 Then King Solomon made a vow before the Lord: “May God strike me and even kill me if Adonijah has not sealed his fate with this request. 24 The Lord has confirmed me and placed me on the throne of my father, David; he has established my dynasty as he promised. So as surely as the Lord lives, Adonijah will die this very day!” 25 So King Solomon ordered Benaiah son of Jehoiada to execute him, and Adonijah was put to death.
26 Then the king said to Abiathar the priest, “Go back to your home in Anathoth. You deserve to die, but I will not kill you now, because you carried the Ark of the Sovereign Lord for David my father and you shared all his hardships.” 27 So Solomon deposed Abiathar from his position as priest of the Lord, thereby fulfilling the prophecy the Lord had given at Shiloh concerning the descendants of Eli.
28 Joab had not joined Absalom’s earlier rebellion, but he had joined Adonijah’s rebellion. So when Joab heard about Adonijah’s death, he ran to the sacred tent of the Lord and grabbed on to the horns of the altar. 29 When this was reported to King Solomon, he sent Benaiah son of Jehoiada to execute him.
30 Benaiah went to the sacred tent of the Lord and said to Joab, “The king orders you to come out!”
But Joab answered, “No, I will die here.”
So Benaiah returned to the king and told him what Joab had said.
31 “Do as he said,” the king replied. “Kill him there beside the altar and bury him. This will remove the guilt of Joab’s senseless murders from me and from my father’s family. 32 The Lord will repay him[e] for the murders of two men who were more righteous and better than he. For my father knew nothing about the deaths of Abner son of Ner, commander of the army of Israel, and of Amasa son of Jether, commander of the army of Judah. 33 May their blood be on Joab and his descendants forever, and may the Lord grant peace forever to David, his descendants, his dynasty, and his throne.”
34 So Benaiah son of Jehoiada returned to the sacred tent and killed Joab, and he was buried at his home in the wilderness. 35 Then the king appointed Benaiah to command the army in place of Joab, and he installed Zadok the priest to take the place of Abiathar.
36 The king then sent for Shimei and told him, “Build a house here in Jerusalem and live there. But don’t step outside the city to go anywhere else. 37 On the day you so much as cross the Kidron Valley, you will surely die; and your blood will be on your own head.”
38 Shimei replied, “Your sentence is fair; I will do whatever my lord the king commands.” So Shimei lived in Jerusalem for a long time.
39 But three years later two of Shimei’s slaves ran away to King Achish son of Maacah of Gath. When Shimei learned where they were, 40 he saddled his donkey and went to Gath to search for them. When he found them, he brought them back to Jerusalem.
41 Solomon heard that Shimei had left Jerusalem and had gone to Gath and returned. 42 So the king sent for Shimei and demanded, “Didn’t I make you swear by the Lord and warn you not to go anywhere else or you would surely die? And you replied, ‘The sentence is fair; I will do as you say.’ 43 Then why haven’t you kept your oath to the Lord and obeyed my command?”
44 The king also said to Shimei, “You certainly remember all the wicked things you did to my father, David. May the Lord now bring that evil on your own head. 45 But may I, King Solomon, receive the Lord’s blessings, and may one of David’s descendants always sit on this throne in the presence of the Lord.” 46 Then, at the king’s command, Benaiah son of Jehoiada took Shimei outside and killed him.
So the kingdom was now firmly in Solomon’s grip.

Smarts

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“Many Smart people will go to hell because they are just too smart for God and His plans of faith in action and many dumb people will follow fools of smarts as well.”  ~ Jon Barnes

Dummies

The devil is the master dummy, who would love to turn you into a living mummy, to follow into the fiery footsteps of fools, using the latest technology, tricks, and tools. Smarts become an afterthought for people burning up their time with worldly success and greed! Why should you burn twice? Would you like some grapes? Few will walk with God down His chosen path, whether you believe it or not, since you are so smart!

Plantation

The master of worldly plantations will take many into the underground fire station pathway for a spot of molten hot tea and gnashing of teeth. Wide is the gate you see. There will be lots of music, moans, and wales, the sound of inmates digging with fingernails, trying to scratch and claw their way out of Hell. Oh Well? Time must tell to end the sin with a smell from the smoke that never ends. Fire for lungs can’t be much fun, burning up eternity from the insides of your soul of your own self made evil jail. The grapes will be ripe for the plantation party!

Vacation

Would you like to be on permanent vacation, singing, playing, and swinging above the plantation, which will be separated by and invisible wall? No one can get in or out, except through the Pearly Gates, with God’s Grace, no matter how big or small. Did you sign up for your timeshare?  Should you care, God is right there to assist you right now in your time of need. By the end of this age, you will see, the pressing of plump grapes will be full and ripe to surely bleed.

Today’s Question

Are you ready to rely on God’s Smarts or are you signed up for the eternal time share with finger painting, scraping, fine fire art, and infinite pain?

Revelation 9

The fifth angel sounded his trumpet, and I saw a star that had fallen from the sky to the earth. The star was given the key to the shaft of the Abyss. When he opened the Abyss, smoke rose from it like the smoke from a gigantic furnace. The sun and sky were darkened by the smoke from the Abyss. And out of the smoke locusts came down on the earth and were given power like that of scorpions of the earth. They were told not to harm the grass of the earth or any plant or tree, but only those people who did not have the seal of God on their foreheads. They were not allowed to kill them but only to torture them for five months. And the agony they suffered was like that of the sting of a scorpion when it strikes. During those days people will seek death but will not find it; they will long to die, but death will elude them.
The locusts looked like horses prepared for battle. On their heads they wore something like crowns of gold, and their faces resembled human faces. Their hair was like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth. They had breastplates like breastplates of iron, and the sound of their wings was like the thundering of many horses and chariots rushing into battle. 10 They had tails with stingers, like scorpions, and in their tails they had power to torment people for five months. 11 They had as king over them the angel of the Abyss, whose name in Hebrew is Abaddon and in Greek is Apollyon (that is, Destroyer).
12 The first woe is past; two other woes are yet to come.
13 The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the four horns of the golden altar that is before God. 14 It said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.”15 And the four angels who had been kept ready for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. 16 The number of the mounted troops was twice ten thousand times ten thousand. I heard their number.
17 The horses and riders I saw in my vision looked like this: Their breastplates were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur. The heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke and sulfur. 18 A third of mankind was killed by the three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that came out of their mouths. 19 The power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails were like snakes, having heads with which they inflict injury.
20 The rest of mankind who were not killed by these plagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood—idols that cannot see or hear or walk. 21 Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts.

Jonathan

Fools of Wisdom

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“Test what you learn, think, know and do with God’s wisdom so that you and your works don’t catch on fire, forever, with your arrogance and pride!”  ~ Jon Barnes

Dumb Choices

We make dumb choices in the heat of the decision process, without consulting and pouring biblical principles over the fire and desires of our own fleshy, wicked hearts. When I want something, I tend to justify it by saying and selling all of the good features in the house, car, job, opportunity, never looking at the core values of God and what I really need.  In the past, my needs have always been first and I’ve been dumb for a long time.  Thank God Things Can Change!

Things Can Change

Keep your eyes on the road, turn off your phone, and stop texting so that you can drive carefully today. Things can change on life’s crazy roads, so avoid them if you can.  Drive on the Good Road God placed in front of you.   I had a dream about bad traffic, bad driving, and cops.  Take the time to make those good choices, relax and enjoy the ride.  God is pleased with our progress and you will want to spend as much time with Him and other Good People as possible to recharge your battery and gas up the tank.  Get plenty of pics, kisses, and hugs in the journey so you don’t run out of gas in life.

The High Road

Thanks for taking the high road and testing out your motives with your worldly possessions.  God will continue to supply us with amazing blessings to fly like rockets into the sky.  We all have good work to do and we are not going to let little silly things stop our flow and cause for God! I am inspired by the history and structure of the Good Cities around the world, which look like something out of a fairy tale Book in history, with carved details of craftsmanship and high quality of humanity. High Roads less traveled are indeed similar.
However, I will stay focused on developing high-quality choices, teaching the little ones all that I know. Remember that every setback in a trial, test, or temptation is a truthful lesson of love working for the Glory and Honor of God, with Grace, Mercy, and Meekness.  The Blessing comes when the lesson is done.  We will have plenty of money and wisdom to take care of any problems wisely as we follow God!  I enjoy sharing what little that I know with the power of Truth in God.

1 Corinthians 4

The Nature of True Apostleship

This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to lightwhat is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God.
Now, brothers and sisters, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, “Do not go beyond what is written.” Then you will not be puffed up in being a follower of one of us over against the other. For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you boast as though you did not?
Already you have all you want! Already you have become rich! You have begun to reign—and that without us! How I wish that you really had begun to reign so that we also might reign with you! For it seems to me that God has put us apostles on display at the end of the procession, like those condemned to die in the arena. We have been made a spectacle to the whole universe, to angels as well as to human beings. 10 We are fools for Christ, but you are so wise in Christ! We are weak, but you are strong! You are honored, we are dishonored! 11 To this very hour we go hungry and thirsty, we are in rags, we are brutally treated, we are homeless. 12 We work hard with our own hands. When we are cursed, we bless; when we are persecuted, we endure it; 13 when we are slandered, we answer kindly. We have become the scum of the earth, the garbage of the world—right up to this moment.

Paul’s Appeal and Warning

14 I am writing this not to shame you but to warn you as my dear children. 15 Even if you had ten thousand guardians in Christ, you do not have many fathers, for in Christ Jesus I became your father through the gospel. 16 Therefore I urge you to imitate me.17 For this reason I have sent to you Timothy, my son whom I love, who is faithful in the Lord. He will remind you of my way of life in Christ Jesus, which agrees with what I teach everywhere in every church.
18 Some of you have become arrogant, as if I were not coming to you. 19 But I will come to you very soon, if the Lord is willing, and then I will find out not only how these arrogant people are talking, but what power they have. 20 For the kingdom of God is not a matter of talk but of power. 21 What do you prefer? Shall I come to you with a rod of discipline, or shall I come in love and with a gentle spirit?
Love,
Jonathan
