Good Time

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“When you live life knowing the Good News, it’s hard not to have a good time.”

TB

Moment

Learning the Good News is easy. Living our lives in that truth is a continuous endeavor. Though we know Christ and His Promise are true, we live in a world that lives counterproductive to Him. As such we must balance what we see against what we know to be true. And, we do that by staying in the Word and reflecting the Light that God gives us to those we encounter every day.

Present

When we make it a daily habit to hang out with God and stay in the word, we learn and gain the patience to discern the real from the fake. From there, we can have the clarity and peace to practice joy in the days of our lives. By embracing the Good News, we find ourselves having a good no matter the circumstance. It’s not because everything is perfect, but because in Christ, He perfects everything.

Today’s Question

Are you enjoying the Good News and having a good time?

Micah 4

1 In the last days, the mountain of the LORD ’s house will be the highest of all— the most important place on earth. It will be raised above the other hills, and people from all over the world will stream there to worship. 2 People from many nations will come and say, “Come, let us go up to the mountain of the LORD, to the house of Jacob’s God. There he will teach us his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For the LORD ’s teaching will go out from Zion; his word will go out from Jerusalem. 3 The LORD will mediate between peoples and will settle disputes between strong nations far away. They will hammer their swords into plowshares and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation will no longer fight against nation, nor train for war anymore. 4 Everyone will live in peace and prosperity, enjoying their own grapevines and fig trees, for there will be nothing to fear. The LORD of Heaven’s Armies has made this promise! 5 Though the nations around us follow their idols, we will follow the LORD our God forever and ever. 6 “In that coming day,” says the LORD, “I will gather together those who are lame, those who have been exiles, and those whom I have filled with grief. 7 Those who are weak will survive as a remnant; those who were exiles will become a strong nation. Then I, the LORD, will rule from Jerusalem as their king forever.” 8 As for you, Jerusalem, the citadel of God’s people, your royal might and power will come back to you again. The kingship will be restored to my precious Jerusalem. 9 But why are you now screaming in terror? Have you no king to lead you? Have your wise people all died? Pain has gripped you like a woman in childbirth. 10 Writhe and groan like a woman in labor, you people of Jerusalem, for now you must leave this city to live in the open country. You will soon be sent in exile to distant Babylon. But the LORD will rescue you there; he will redeem you from the grip of your enemies. 11 Now many nations have gathered against you. “Let her be desecrated,” they say. “Let us see the destruction of Jerusalem. ” 12 But they do not know the LORD ’s thoughts or understand his plan. These nations don’t know that he is gathering them together to be beaten and trampled like sheaves of grain on a threshing floor. 13 “Rise up and crush the nations, O Jerusalem!” says the LORD . “For I will give you iron horns and bronze hooves, so you can trample many nations to pieces. You will present their stolen riches to the LORD, their wealth to the Lord of all the earth.”

Caution

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“Caution yourself before you speak negatively about things so that you can learn to see the good that is happening all around you, every second of the day.”  ~  Jon Barnes

Distractions

Negativity is a distraction that takes your mind, thoughts, words, and deeds off of the work of faith.  Make things better with your situation and people will copy you and become inspired, because of your lifestyle and preparation.  Shut down the negative attitude approach and open up the mouth of positivity, so that we all speak better blessings into the future.

Keep

Enjoy keeping your mind, mouth, and actions, on what God has for you to do by doing wonderful things each day, all of the time.  As a habit, you will develop wonderful skills to last a lifetime of fun, discovery, service, and respect for God’s plan for your life.  The challenges in life will keep coming, but your solutions are better than any problem you will face. God is the Solution!

Down

Don’t go down the street with wicked people trying to find trouble.  Stay with who you are and become better at being yourself.  As an individual, there is no need to copy the negative distractions and actions of others.  Use your words, works, and faith to define your destiny of positive living and be the blessing to others.
Today’s Question
Are you a blessing to God or a blessing to the devil?

Psalm 33

Let the godly sing for joy to the Lord;
    it is fitting for the pure to praise him.
Praise the Lord with melodies on the lyre;
    make music for him on the ten-stringed harp.
Sing a new song of praise to him;
    play skillfully on the harp, and sing with joy.
For the word of the Lord holds true,
    and we can trust everything he does.
He loves whatever is just and good;
    the unfailing love of the Lord fills the earth.
The Lord merely spoke,
    and the heavens were created.
He breathed the word,
    and all the stars were born.
He assigned the sea its boundaries
    and locked the oceans in vast reservoirs.
Let the whole world fear the Lord,
    and let everyone stand in awe of him.
For when he spoke, the world began!
    It appeared at his command.
10 The Lord frustrates the plans of the nations
    and thwarts all their schemes.
11 But the Lord’s plans stand firm forever;
    his intentions can never be shaken.
12 What joy for the nation whose God is the Lord,
    whose people he has chosen as his inheritance.
13 The Lord looks down from heaven
    and sees the whole human race.
14 From his throne he observes
    all who live on the earth.
15 He made their hearts,
    so he understands everything they do.
16 The best-equipped army cannot save a king,
    nor is great strength enough to save a warrior.
17 Don’t count on your warhorse to give you victory—
    for all its strength, it cannot save you.
18 But the Lord watches over those who fear him,
    those who rely on his unfailing love.
19 He rescues them from death
    and keeps them alive in times of famine.
20 We put our hope in the Lord.
    He is our help and our shield.
21 In him our hearts rejoice,
    for we trust in his holy name.
22 Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord,
    for our hope is in you alone.

Love,

Jonathan

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“You honor God by listening to His suggestions and following the recipe of faith, hope, and love with good choices and decisions, so that you don’t waist your ingredients in disobedience, which will keep you out of Heaven.” ~ Jon Barnes

Cook Book

Use God’s cook book to make meals that will burn the devil out of your family, home, work, and life.  You are what you say, do, and eat, so listen carefully to wise information that is biblically sound and quite tasty from God’s menu. Get into the habit of doing the work right the first time and stop making excuses your main ingredient in your Cook Book! Step up your game and use the best ingredients.

Healthy Choices

Eat less, burn the fat, and work off your food by cleaning up your mess!  It is unhealthy to live like a pig, eat like a hog, and sleep like a lazy dog. Hell’s kitchen is full of fast, processed, fake foods that have been altered, modified, or sprayed with poison. Detox your life with God’s Cook Book, Fresh Ingredients, and Clear Thinking to clean up your dirty lifestyle and unhealthy choices.

Chef

You are the chef of yourself and if your food stinks or looks rotten, I’m not eating at your house, as it is quite clear that you did not take God’s Cooking Class.  Many people leave their ingredients out on the counter to rot away because they don’t listen, read, study, or use God’s Cook Book of Eternal Life. Improve your cooking skills by following the directions with fresh ingredients each day.
Today’s Question

Are you using God’s Measurements, Tools, Commandments, and Ingredients in your kitchen and lifestyle or do you need a new kitchen make over?

Genesis 28

28 So Isaac called for Jacob, blessed him, and said, “You must not marry any of these Canaanite women. Instead, go at once to Paddan-aram, to the house of your grandfather Bethuel, and marry one of your uncle Laban’s daughters. May God Almighty[a] bless you and give you many children. And may your descendants multiply and become many nations! May God pass on to you and your descendants[b] the blessings he promised to Abraham. May you own this land where you are now living as a foreigner, for God gave this land to Abraham.”
So Isaac sent Jacob away, and he went to Paddan-aram to stay with his uncle Laban, his mother’s brother, the son of Bethuel the Aramean.
Esau knew that his father, Isaac, had blessed Jacob and sent him to Paddan-aram to find a wife, and that he had warned Jacob, “You must not marry a Canaanite woman.” He also knew that Jacob had obeyed his parents and gone to Paddan-aram. It was now very clear to Esau that his father did not like the local Canaanite women. So Esau visited his uncle Ishmael’s family and married one of Ishmael’s daughters, in addition to the wives he already had. His new wife’s name was Mahalath. She was the sister of Nebaioth and the daughter of Ishmael, Abraham’s son.

Jacob’s Dream at Bethel

10 Meanwhile, Jacob left Beersheba and traveled toward Haran. 11 At sundown he arrived at a good place to set up camp and stopped there for the night. Jacob found a stone to rest his head against and lay down to sleep. 12 As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway.
13 At the top of the stairway stood the Lord, and he said, “I am the Lord, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants. 14 Your descendants will be as numerous as the dust of the earth! They will spread out in all directions—to the west and the east, to the north and the south. And all the families of the earth will be blessed through you and your descendants. 15 What’s more, I am with you, and I will protect you wherever you go. One day I will bring you back to this land. I will not leave you until I have finished giving you everything I have promised you.”
16 Then Jacob awoke from his sleep and said, “Surely the Lord is in this place, and I wasn’t even aware of it!” 17 But he was also afraid and said, “What an awesome place this is! It is none other than the house of God, the very gateway to heaven!”
18 The next morning Jacob got up very early. He took the stone he had rested his head against, and he set it upright as a memorial pillar. Then he poured olive oil over it. 19 He named that place Bethel (which means “house of God”), although it was previously called Luz.
20 Then Jacob made this vow: “If God will indeed be with me and protect me on this journey, and if he will provide me with food and clothing, 21 and if I return safely to my father’s home, then the Lord will certainly be my God. 22 And this memorial pillar I have set up will become a place for worshiping God, and I will present to God a tenth of everything he gives me.”

Jonathan
