Gratitude

heart-1318850_1920 (1).jpg

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“When you dwell on all that God has done for you, staying in a gracious mindset becomes easier.”~TB

In Spite Of

In spite of our flaws, misdeeds, doubt, doublemindedness, and the like, God still loves every single one of us. Think about that for a second. No matter what we do, how good or bad, we will always have a connection to Christ. That type of love is unquantifiable! Friends, be grateful that He is so loving, especially to a population that will never have the greatest track record.

Pass it On

As you know the Truth, live in peace, and practice gratitude amongst one another. Let the offenses pass you by, forgive quickly and freely, and meditate on God’s goodness daily. It is by practicing the grace and mercy of the Lord that changes the hearts and minds of others. There’s no need to be mean or defend yourself. God sees all. So let him see you practice His teachings, sharing the Good News.

Today’s Question

Are you being grateful or are you looking for the next best thing?

Psalm 139

1 O LORD, you have examined my heart and know everything about me.
2 You know when I sit down or stand up. You know my thoughts even when I’m far away.
3 You see me when I travel and when I rest at home. You know everything I do.
4 You know what I am going to say even before I say it, LORD .
5 You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head.
6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me, too great for me to understand!
7 I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence!
8 If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there.
9 If I ride the wings of the morning, if I dwell by the farthest oceans,
10 even there your hand will guide me, and your strength will support me.
11 I could ask the darkness to hide me and the light around me to become night—
12 but even in darkness I cannot hide from you. To you the night shines as bright as day. Darkness and light are the same to you.
13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it.
15 You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
16You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
17 How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!
18 I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!
19 O God, if only you would destroy the wicked! Get out of my life, you murderers!
20 They blaspheme you; your enemies misuse your name.
21 O LORD, shouldn’t I hate those who hate you? Shouldn’t I despise those who oppose you?
22 Yes, I hate them with total hatred, for your enemies are my enemies.
23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.
24 Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life.

Walls

vaulted-cellar-247391_1920.jpg
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“We build walls and God tears them down so that we can love, live, share, give, and learn from each other.”  ~ Jon Barnes

Tunnels

Walls create a tunnel vision of isolation, separation, and desperation so that your love cannot be exposed for others to see, feel, and experience.  Open up your window, get out of the house, and spread your joy of The Lord.  Hiding in a tunnel, room, house, or cave will not help others to learn and grow in their faith.  Exit your self-made tunnel.

Fences

People need each other to help cross over fences, migrate, travel, and to relocate their families from evil situations into the light of love.  Sometimes it is best to move away from evil people and their wicked practices so that your family can have a better opportunity to learn, love, share, give, pray, and hope for a better future.  It is not wise to fence yourself into a bad situation when you can create a better one.

Borders

Create a border of protection around your family that is clear, invisible, and full of love from God, because you have taught them about the love of Christ in your heart.  The quality of work, faith, and time you spend with your family will fight off drugs, alcohol, abuse, waste, laziness, and disobedience.  Let the invisible Walls of God’s Love connect us to the Kingdom of God and tear down all man-made fake borders of patrol.
Today’s Question
Are you walking through the walls of ignorance with Christ or are you trapped with satan, bound for hell?

Psalm 49

For the choir director: A psalm of the descendants of Korah.

Listen to this, all you people!
Pay attention, everyone in the world!
High and low,
    rich and poor—listen!
For my words are wise,
and my thoughts are filled with insight.
I listen carefully to many proverbs
and solve riddles with inspiration from a harp.
Why should I fear when trouble comes,
    when enemies surround me?
They trust in their wealth
    and boast of great riches.
Yet they cannot redeem themselves from death[a]
by paying a ransom to God.
Redemption does not come so easily,
for no one can ever pay enough
to live forever
    and never see the grave.
10 Those who are wise must finally die,
just like the foolish and senseless,
    leaving all their wealth behind.
11 The grave is their eternal home,
    where they will stay forever.
They may name their estates after themselves,
12     but their fame will not last.
They will die, just like animals.
13 This is the fate of fools,
though they are remembered as being wise. Interlude
14 Like sheep, they are led to the grave,
where death will be their shepherd.
In the morning the godly will rule over them.
Their bodies will rot in the grave,
    far from their grand estates.
15 But as for me, God will redeem my life.
He will snatch me from the power of the grave. Interlude
16 So don’t be dismayed when the wicked grow rich
and their homes become ever more splendid.
17 For when they die, they take nothing with them.
Their wealth will not follow them into the grave.
18 In this life they consider themselves fortunate
and are applauded for their success.
19 But they will die like all before them
and never again see the light of day.
20 People who boast of their wealth don’t understand;
they will die, just like animals.
Love,

Jonathan

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“The devil loves to argue, lie, cheat, steal, and cause strife in families, communities, and workplaces all around the world, and you must recognize this wicked behavior before being drawn into it.”  ~ Jon Barnes

Better

Good people are better than that.  They answer questions, stick to God’s facts, and move onto the task at hand.  Allow God to fight His battles and only do your part.  You cannot live, think, breathe, and work for other people. Your work is for yourself, which should inspire others to do better. Don’t let others prevent you from doing your work.

Than

More than you know, God is in control and he supplies all of us with the essentials to love, work, care, and share with others.  Your personal missionary work is important.  Don’t allow someone else’s hate or goals define who you are in God.  Let God define who you are in Him.  Perhaps then, you will win an argument, because you are better than that, with God’s love and wisdom.

That

Know that you now understand how to stay focused on your job with prayer, fasting, meditation, singing, playing, working, and living by the fruit of the Spirit.  There is never a need to debate or argue vain babbling with ignorant people trying to cause or start trouble by smearing your good name and intentions.  Just walk away, since you have other things to do, with little time to waste.
Today’s Question
Did you recognize and walk away from ignorance today?

Ezra 10

The People Confess Their Sin

10 While Ezra prayed and made this confession, weeping and lying face down on the ground in front of the Temple of God, a very large crowd of people from Israel—men, women, and children—gathered and wept bitterly with him. Then Shecaniah son of Jehiel, a descendant of Elam, said to Ezra, “We have been unfaithful to our God, for we have married these pagan women of the land. But in spite of this there is hope for Israel. Let us now make a covenant with our God to divorce our pagan wives and to send them away with their children. We will follow the advice given by you and by the others who respect the commands of our God. Let it be done according to the Law of God. Get up, for it is your duty to tell us how to proceed in setting things straight. We are behind you, so be strong and take action.”
So Ezra stood up and demanded that the leaders of the priests and the Levites and all the people of Israel swear that they would do as Shecaniah had said. And they all swore a solemn oath. Then Ezra left the front of the Temple of God and went to the room of Jehohanan son of Eliashib. He spent the night[a] there without eating or drinking anything. He was still in mourning because of the unfaithfulness of the returned exiles.
Then a proclamation was made throughout Judah and Jerusalem that all the exiles should come to Jerusalem. Those who failed to come within three days would, if the leaders and elders so decided, forfeit all their property and be expelled from the assembly of the exiles.
Within three days, all the people of Judah and Benjamin had gathered in Jerusalem. This took place on December 19,[b] and all the people were sitting in the square before the Temple of God. They were trembling both because of the seriousness of the matter and because it was raining. 10 Then Ezra the priest stood and said to them: “You have committed a terrible sin. By marrying pagan women, you have increased Israel’s guilt. 11 So now confess your sin to the Lord, the God of your ancestors, and do what he demands. Separate yourselves from the people of the land and from these pagan women.”
12 Then the whole assembly raised their voices and answered, “Yes, you are right; we must do as you say!” 13 Then they added, “This isn’t something that can be done in a day or two, for many of us are involved in this extremely sinful affair. And this is the rainy season, so we cannot stay out here much longer. 14 Let our leaders act on behalf of us all. Let everyone who has a pagan wife come at a scheduled time, accompanied by the leaders and judges of his city, so that the fierce anger of our God concerning this affair may be turned away from us.”
15 Only Jonathan son of Asahel and Jahzeiah son of Tikvah opposed this course of action, and they were supported by Meshullam and Shabbethai the Levite.
16 So this was the plan they followed. Ezra selected leaders to represent their families, designating each of the representatives by name. On December 29,[c] the leaders sat down to investigate the matter. 17 By March 27, the first day of the new year,[d] they had finished dealing with all the men who had married pagan wives.

Those Guilty of Intermarriage

18 These are the priests who had married pagan wives:
From the family of Jeshua son of Jehozadak[e] and his brothers: Maaseiah, Eliezer, Jarib, and Gedaliah. 19 They vowed to divorce their wives, and they each acknowledged their guilt by offering a ram as a guilt offering.

24 This is the singer who was guilty: Eliashib.
These are the gatekeepers who were guilty: Shallum, Telem, and Uri.
25 These are the other people of Israel who were guilty:

Integration

nature-3151869_1920
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“After seeing different parts of the world, I can see the integration of cultural influences. I look at the US with a more focused lens, which allows me to respect God’s gift of life, liberty, and love more freely, deeply, and honestly.” ~ Jon Barnes

Punctuation

Stamps of cultural punctuations are seen in every city, country, and continent traveled because people share, travel, live, and learn new things all of the time. God’s image and face are stamped upon everyone with two eyes, a nose, lips, and a pair of ears. God’s face would look like the finest culmination of people qualities that punctuates perfection, the like we have never seen.

Proclamation

I proclaim that ignorance is not an excuse for not studying the bible to learn, share, and integrate God’s instructions of good living, wise planning, and fundamental truth about love. Whereas, living your life with honest dreams, goals, and values that serve, help, and protect others from evil, upholding real justice is a good thing. One should integrate, punctuate, and participate in the quality functions of God’s Love, Grace, and Mercy.

Pronunciation

Kindly pronounce and articulate the gospel truth of love with your best work and actions each day to clearly communicate your self-worth and expertise to share, give, and earn a living, while helping others to see God in your life. Enslaving your family with evil intentions, bad habits, and wicked ideas is just NOT wise. Integrate what God has to offer and understand His ways of obedience, love, honor, and respect.
Today’s Question?
Do you honor and respect your Heavenly Father or do your ways and work integrate the opposite of faith?

1 Samuel 9

Saul Meets Samuel

There was a wealthy, influential man named Kish from the tribe of Benjamin. He was the son of Abiel, son of Zeror, son of Becorath, son of Aphiah, of the tribe of Benjamin. His son Saul was the most handsome man in Israel—head and shoulders taller than anyone else in the land.
One day Kish’s donkeys strayed away, and he told Saul, “Take a servant with you, and go look for the donkeys.” So Saul took one of the servants and traveled through the hill country of Ephraim, the land of Shalishah, the Shaalim area, and the entire land of Benjamin, but they couldn’t find the donkeys anywhere.
Finally, they entered the region of Zuph, and Saul said to his servant, “Let’s go home. By now my father will be more worried about us than about the donkeys!”
But the servant said, “I’ve just thought of something! There is a man of God who lives here in this town. He is held in high honor by all the people because everything he says comes true. Let’s go find him. Perhaps he can tell us which way to go.”
“But we don’t have anything to offer him,” Saul replied. “Even our food is gone, and we don’t have a thing to give him.”
“Well,” the servant said, “I have one small silver piece.[a] We can at least offer it to the man of God and see what happens!” (In those days if people wanted a message from God, they would say, “Let’s go and ask the seer,” for prophets used to be called seers.)
10 “All right,” Saul agreed, “let’s try it!” So they started into the town where the man of God lived.
11 As they were climbing the hill to the town, they met some young women coming out to draw water. So Saul and his servant asked, “Is the seer here today?”
12 “Yes,” they replied. “Stay right on this road. He is at the town gates. He has just arrived to take part in a public sacrifice up at the place of worship. 13 Hurry and catch him before he goes up there to eat. The guests won’t begin eating until he arrives to bless the food.”
14 So they entered the town, and as they passed through the gates, Samuel was coming out toward them to go up to the place of worship.
15 Now the Lord had told Samuel the previous day, 16 “About this time tomorrow I will send you a man from the land of Benjamin. Anoint him to be the leader of my people, Israel. He will rescue them from the Philistines, for I have looked down on my people in mercy and have heard their cry.”
17 When Samuel saw Saul, the Lord said, “That’s the man I told you about! He will rule my people.”
18 Just then Saul approached Samuel at the gateway and asked, “Can you please tell me where the seer’s house is?”
19 “I am the seer!” Samuel replied. “Go up to the place of worship ahead of me. We will eat there together, and in the morning I’ll tell you what you want to know and send you on your way. 20 And don’t worry about those donkeys that were lost three days ago, for they have been found. And I am here to tell you that you and your family are the focus of all Israel’s hopes.”
21 Saul replied, “But I’m only from the tribe of Benjamin, the smallest tribe in Israel, and my family is the least important of all the families of that tribe! Why are you talking like this to me?”
22 Then Samuel brought Saul and his servant into the hall and placed them at the head of the table, honoring them above the thirty special guests. 23 Samuel then instructed the cook to bring Saul the finest cut of meat, the piece that had been set aside for the guest of honor.24 So the cook brought in the meat and placed it before Saul. “Go ahead and eat it,” Samuel said. “I was saving it for you even before I invited these others!” So Saul ate with Samuel that day.
25 When they came down from the place of worship and returned to town, Samuel took Saul up to the roof of the house and prepared a bed for him there.[b] 26 At daybreak the next morning, Samuel called to Saul, “Get up! It’s time you were on your way.” So Saul got ready, and he and Samuel left the house together. 27 When they reached the edge of town, Samuel told Saul to send his servant on ahead. After the servant was gone, Samuel said, “Stay here, for I have received a special message for you from God.”

Frequent Flyer

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“God gives us Frequent Flyer Miles for doing good work and it will show in your lifestyle as proof that God is walking with you.” ~ Jon Barnes

Everyday

You will notice the growth in your conviction, principles, morals, and values with your everyday plans, work, and life. As you fly with God’s Word, you will learn how to ask the right questions and listen to the best answers to make good sense of your life. God will confirm and show you what is working and what is not working well in your life.  Make adjustments based on God’s honesty and integrity so that you can learn key lessons and vocabulary in your everyday language as soon as possible. Negative TV, movies, drama, and non-positive activities drain your mind, heart, body, and spirit so minimize negative things in your life, as you work, travel, live, and fly with God. Be Positive at all times.

Simply

Simply put, God is not complicated. Evil makes things and thinking complicated so that confusion sets in to overpower you and your potential for your good work, with your own energy. You are giving the devil the power to defeat yourself, by your own actions, hands, words, works, lies, and deceit. How can you fix yourself or diagnose your own problem when you are intact; and in fact, the problem. Your stinking thinking overrides God’s logic and your prayers go unanswered. Your brokenness is the beginning of wisdom with fear, honor, and respect for God. The blessing that you share with others adds to your frequent flyer mileage you acquire and your wisdom learned from lifestyle lessons and studies. When your behavior is abusive and misguided, you will pay the cost of your simple arrogance.

Children

Children who listen and learn from their parents act just like their parents to improve upon their good works. Evil children do the opposite and proudly disrespect their parents, producing ugly work habits, traits, and poor quality. Honoring God and your parents with fear and respect is the beginning of wisdom, which will give you time to work out the details of your salvation and good work ethics for God.  Those who closely follow the 10 commandments will have a shot at understanding and maintaining a good standing relationship with God by practicing what they preach. Disobedience is unacceptable. Few will make it into heaven because of Their unbelief. Many will go to hell because they don’t believe God’s Word or His Judgement of Heaven and Hell.

Where is your belief flying you to, Heaven or hell?

Deuteronomy 21

Cleansing for Unsolved Murder

21 “When you are in the land the Lord your God is giving you, someone may be found murdered in a field, and you don’t know who committed the murder. In such a case, your elders and judges must measure the distance from the site of the crime to the nearby towns. When the nearest town has been determined, that town’s elders must select from the herd a heifer that has never been trained or yoked to a plow. They must lead it down to a valley that has not been plowed or planted and that has a stream running through it. There in the valley they must break the heifer’s neck. Then the Levitical priests must step forward, for the Lordyour God has chosen them to minister before him and to pronounce blessings in the Lord’s name. They are to decide all legal and criminal cases.
“The elders of the town must wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken. Then they must say, ‘Our hands did not shed this person’s blood, nor did we see it happen. Lord, forgive your people Israel whom you have redeemed. Do not charge your people with the guilt of murdering an innocent person.’ Then they will be absolved of the guilt of this person’s blood. By following these instructions, you will do what is right in the Lord’s sight and will cleanse the guilt of murder from your community.

Marriage to a Captive Woman

10 “Suppose you go out to war against your enemies and the Lord your God hands them over to you, and you take some of them as captives. 11 And suppose you see among the captives a beautiful woman, and you are attracted to her and want to marry her. 12 If this happens, you may take her to your home, where she must shave her head, cut her nails, 13 and change the clothes she was wearing when she was captured. She will stay in your home, but let her mourn for her father and mother for a full month. Then you may marry her, and you will be her husband and she will be your wife. 14 But if you marry her and she does not please you, you must let her go free. You may not sell her or treat her as a slave, for you have humiliated her.

Rights of the Firstborn

15 “Suppose a man has two wives, but he loves one and not the other, and both have given him sons. And suppose the firstborn son is the son of the wife he does not love. 16 When the man divides his inheritance, he may not give the larger inheritance to his younger son, the son of the wife he loves, as if he were the firstborn son. 17 He must recognize the rights of his oldest son, the son of the wife he does not love, by giving him a double portion. He is the first son of his father’s virility, and the rights of the firstborn belong to him.

Dealing with a Rebellious Son

18 “Suppose a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey his father or mother, even though they discipline him. 19 In such a case, the father and mother must take the son to the elders as they hold court at the town gate. 20 The parents must say to the elders, ‘This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious and refuses to obey. He is a glutton and a drunkard.’ 21 Then all the men of his town must stone him to death. In this way, you will purge this evil from among you, and all Israel will hear about it and be afraid.

Various Regulations

22 “If someone has committed a crime worthy of death and is executed and hung on a tree,[a] 23 the body must not remain hanging from the tree overnight. You must bury the body that same day, for anyone who is hung[b] is cursed in the sight of God. In this way, you will prevent the defilement of the land the Lord your God is giving you as your special possession.

Exodus 5

Moses and Aaron Speak to Pharaoh

After this presentation to Israel’s leaders, Moses and Aaron went and spoke to Pharaoh. They told him, “This is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: Let my people go so they may hold a festival in my honor in the wilderness.”
“Is that so?” retorted Pharaoh. “And who is the Lord? Why should I listen to him and let Israel go? I don’t know the Lord, and I will not let Israel go.”
But Aaron and Moses persisted. “The God of the Hebrews has met with us,” they declared. “So let us take a three-day journey into the wilderness so we can offer sacrifices to the Lord our God. If we don’t, he will kill us with a plague or with the sword.”
Pharaoh replied, “Moses and Aaron, why are you distracting the people from their tasks? Get back to work! Look, there are many of your people in the land, and you are stopping them from their work.”

Making Bricks without Straw

That same day Pharaoh sent this order to the Egyptian slave drivers and the Israelite foremen: “Do not supply any more straw for making bricks. Make the people get it themselves! But still require them to make the same number of bricks as before. Don’t reduce the quota. They are lazy. That’s why they are crying out, ‘Let us go and offer sacrifices to our God.’ Load them down with more work. Make them sweat! That will teach them to listen to lies!”
10 So the slave drivers and foremen went out and told the people: “This is what Pharaoh says: I will not provide any more straw for you. 11 Go and get it yourselves. Find it wherever you can. But you must produce just as many bricks as before!” 12 So the people scattered throughout the land of Egypt in search of stubble to use as straw.
13 Meanwhile, the Egyptian slave drivers continued to push hard. “Meet your daily quota of bricks, just as you did when we provided you with straw!” they demanded. 14 Then they whipped the Israelite foremen they had put in charge of the work crews. “Why haven’t you met your quotas either yesterday or today?” they demanded.
15 So the Israelite foremen went to Pharaoh and pleaded with him. “Please don’t treat your servants like this,” they begged. 16 “We are given no straw, but the slave drivers still demand, ‘Make bricks!’ We are being beaten, but it isn’t our fault! Your own people are to blame!”
17 But Pharaoh shouted, “You’re just lazy! Lazy! That’s why you’re saying, ‘Let us go and offer sacrifices to the Lord.’ 18 Now get back to work! No straw will be given to you, but you must still produce the full quota of bricks.”
19 The Israelite foremen could see that they were in serious trouble when they were told, “You must not reduce the number of bricks you make each day.” 20 As they left Pharaoh’s court, they confronted Moses and Aaron, who were waiting outside for them. 21 The foremen said to them, “May the Lord judge and punish you for making us stink before Pharaoh and his officials. You have put a sword into their hands, an excuse to kill us!”
22 Then Moses went back to the Lord and protested, “Why have you brought all this trouble on your own people, Lord? Why did you send me? 23 Ever since I came to Pharaoh as your spokesman, he has been even more brutal to your people. And you have done nothing to rescue them!”

Today’s Quote
“Each of us are special, unique, and gifted with a purpose, a dream, and a destiny to fill through the assignments you will complete for God and man: Good or bad!”  ~ Jon Barnes

Live

Live in your unique abilities to learn, love, grow and share God’s grace and mercy with others to complete your God given assignments.  Do not give up on doing all the good you are to accomplish in your work and charity. Your life’s story should paint that picture of your face, not my face.

Dream

Here is a personal example. As a teenager, I was in a car with a music group driving home from a church gig, late at night.  I was in the back seat dreaming that we crashed on the bridge and when I made a loud noise, it woke everyone up and we drove safely onto the bridge home. God will keep you around to fulfill your job that He has for you, so get to work.  Jesus will inspect your job so do it well. Otherwise your job is with the devil, doomed to damnation and hell.  Is this your dream?

Testing

God will test drive your car to see if you will go the distance or if you are a lemon from the lot! It is your choice to be a lemon or a special car that you take good care of by following the instructions and maintenance, church, bible studies, helps, and love schedules.  Each test drive determines how long the life of your car will be and it is up to God and His timeline of events to determine the length of your existence. Beware that you don’t break your own special car with neglect, disobedience, and arrogance.
Today’s Question
How was your test drive today?

Revelation 15

Seven Angels With Seven Plagues

15 I saw in heaven another great and marvelous sign: seven angels with the seven last plagues—last, because with them God’s wrath is completed. And I saw what looked like a sea of glass glowing with fire and, standing beside the sea, those who had been victorious over the beast and its image and over the number of its name. They held harps given them by God and sang the song of God’s servant Moses and of the Lamb:
“Great and marvelous are your deeds,
    Lord God Almighty.
Just and true are your ways,
    King of the nations.[a]
Who will not fear you, Lord,
and bring glory to your name?
For you alone are holy.
All nations will come
    and worship before you,
for your righteous acts have been revealed.”[b]
After this I looked, and I saw in heaven the temple—that is, the tabernacle of the covenant law—and it was opened. Out of the temple came the seven angels with the seven plagues. They were dressed in clean, shining linen and wore golden sashes around their chests. Then one of the four living creatures gave to the seven angels seven golden bowls filled with the wrath of God, who lives for ever and ever. And the temple was filled with smoke from the glory of God and from his power, and no one could enter the temple until the seven plagues of the seven angels were completed.

Jonathan

Real Talk

couch-2155924_1920
Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“If you don’t love yourself, all of your senses will be exposed to the toxic pictures, fumes, sounds, elements, air, water, foods, ideas, and ideologies that reject the truth of God and His natural cycle of creation, reaping, and sowing.  Evil suggests that you sow all your life and reap nothing in return.” ~  Jon Barnes

Opposite

We say one thing but most of us do the opposite of the truth.  Our intentions start out okay, but the reality of life must line up with God’s Real Talk.  I will make mistakes and I’m learning to quickly fix them and share my solutions with action, not just empty words.  Real talk is real action with the real truth, with is the opposite of greed, lust, pride, envy, and evil.

Great Joy

The feeling of Great Joy comes in the morning when your good work has reached one person to help along the way and avoid pitfalls from the devil.  I enjoy giving black eyes to the evil one who takes advantage of the innocent, the poor, and the honest people in the world.  Great Joy comes from giving, living, learning, growing, and sharing God’s love, which touches all Good People from God all of the time. Tap into your Great Joy from God.

Live Love

Live out the truth in your life as if God is chilling with you on your porch on a cool day, drinking some lemonade. Spend some of that time with your family and friends as well, so that they can see God hanging out on your porch with you.  In the morning on a sunny day, your porch should not look like clouds of a thunderstorm brewing up golf-sized hail onto your property.  Live to give good gifts from God and you will never hunger or thirst.
Today’s Question
Is your porch light on 24/7, lighting up the world with God’s Love, Mercy, and Grace?

1 John 2

My dear children, I write this to you so that you will not sin. But if anybody does sin, we have an advocate with the Father—Jesus Christ, the Righteous One. He is the atoning sacrifice for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.

Love and Hatred for Fellow Believers

We know that we have come to know him if we keep his commands. Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. But if anyone obeys his word, love for God[a] is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did.
Dear friends, I am not writing you a new command but an old one, which you have had since the beginning. This old command is the message you have heard.Yet I am writing you a new command; its truth is seen in him and in you, because the darkness is passing and the true light is already shining.
Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates a brother or sister[b] is still in the darkness. 10 Anyone who loves their brother and sister[c] lives in the light, and there is nothing in them to make them stumble. 11 But anyone who hates a brother or sister is in the darkness and walks around in the darkness. They do not know where they are going, because the darkness has blinded them.

Reasons for Writing

12 I am writing to you, dear children,
because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.
13 I am writing to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I am writing to you, young men,
because you have overcome the evil one.
14 I write to you, dear children,
    because you know the Father.
I write to you, fathers,
because you know him who is from the beginning.
I write to you, young men,
    because you are strong,
and the word of God lives in you,
and you have overcome the evil one.

On Not Loving the World

15 Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father[d] is not in them. 16 For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. 17 The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever.

Warnings Against Denying the Son

18 Dear children, this is the last hour; and as you have heard that the antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come. This is how we know it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.
20 But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth.[e] 21 I do not write to you because you do not know the truth, but because you do know it and because no lie comes from the truth. 22 Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist—denying the Father and the Son. 23 No one who denies the Son has the Father; whoever acknowledges the Son has the Father also.
24 As for you, see that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. 25 And this is what he promised us—eternal life.
26 I am writing these things to you about those who are trying to lead you astray.27 As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.

God’s Children and Sin

28 And now, dear children, continue in him, so that when he appears we may be confident and unashamed before him at his coming.
29 If you know that he is righteous, you know that everyone who does what is right has been born of him.
Love,
Jonathan
