Foundation

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Let God be your foundation.”

TB

Cracks

God is the ultimate foundation to build your life upon. There is nothing else that is as indestructible. When you use other things, the foundation cracks because this is nothing as reliable as God’s promise to us.

Solid

If you’re tired of bottoming out due to flimsy foundations, ask God to become the focal point in your life. With Him, even the most chaotic of days are weathered because of His everlasting support and foundation.

Today’s Question

What is your foundation?

Leviticus 24

1 The LORD said to Moses, 2 “Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil of pressed olives for the light, to keep the lamps burning continually. 3 This is the lampstand that stands in the Tabernacle, in front of the inner curtain that shields the Ark of the Covenant. Aaron must keep the lamps burning in the LORD ’s presence all night. This is a permanent law for you, and it must be observed from generation to generation. 4 Aaron and the priests must tend the lamps on the pure gold lampstand continually in the LORD ’s presence. 5 “You must bake twelve flat loaves of bread from choice flour, using four quarts of flour for each loaf. 6 Place the bread before the LORD on the pure gold table, and arrange the loaves in two stacks, with six loaves in each stack. 7 Put some pure frankincense near each stack to serve as a representative offering, a special gift presented to the LORD . 8 Every Sabbath day this bread must be laid out before the LORD as a gift from the Israelites; it is an ongoing expression of the eternal covenant. 9 The loaves of bread will belong to Aaron and his descendants, who must eat them in a sacred place, for they are most holy. It is the permanent right of the priests to claim this portion of the special gifts presented to the LORD .” 10 One day a man who had an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father came out of his tent and got into a fight with one of the Israelite men. 11 During the fight, this son of an Israelite woman blasphemed the Name of the LORD with a curse. So the man was brought to Moses for judgment. His mother was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan. 12 They kept the man in custody until the LORD ’s will in the matter should become clear to them. 13 Then the LORD said to Moses, 14 “Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and tell all those who heard the curse to lay their hands on his head. Then let the entire community stone him to death. 15 Say to the people of Israel: Those who curse their God will be punished for their sin. 16 Anyone who blasphemes the Name of the LORD must be stoned to death by the whole community of Israel. Any native-born Israelite or foreigner among you who blasphemes the Name of the LORD must be put to death. 17 “Anyone who takes another person’s life must be put to death. 18 “Anyone who kills another person’s animal must pay for it in full—a live animal for the animal that was killed. 19 “Anyone who injures another person must be dealt with according to the injury inflicted— 20 a fracture for a fracture, an eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth. Whatever anyone does to injure another person must be paid back in kind. 21 “Whoever kills an animal must pay for it in full, but whoever kills another person must be put to death. 22 “This same standard applies both to native-born Israelites and to the foreigners living among you. I am the LORD your God.” 23 After Moses gave all these instructions to the Israelites, they took the blasphemer outside the camp and stoned him to death. The Israelites did just as the LORD had commanded Moses.

Brick by Brick

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“God has taught us how to build castles, monuments, and buildings on a solid foundation, rock, or a hard surface, because Christ is the Solid Rock of our faith and the gates of hell can do nothing about it.” ~ Jon Barnes

Visiting

Visiting different countries and different castles on tops of mountains, big pieces of solid rock, and other hard places has given me a visual perspective of how strong the foundation of God is from the beginning of time. From the tops of the Swiss Alps to underground caverns, mankind has scaled, traveled dwelled and discovered and enjoyed the quality of God’s natural designs. The wonders are infinite and we can never see all of God’s creation here on earth or anywhere else.

The Bible

Learning and re-reading all of the stories in the Bible has given me a better respect and love for my parents and all of the hard work it takes to live a decent life, helping others, doing good things, and trusting God for daily blessings, deliverance, education, and acts of wisdom with kindness. Each verse is laid out brick by brick, wall by wall, along with each mansion chapter by chapter; so that you can see and learn about, who God is. You have no excuse.

Boulders

Boulders of solid stone, cut to fit and stack has been moved, shaped, and placed all around the world, just like the Gospel of Christ has traveled, shining the light of love and God’s true intentions. Saving your soul is like a boulder being placed in your mansion in heaven to live with God forever. Dying in your own sin, ignoring God is like falling off the highest cliff or mountaintop, forever, into a bottomless hot molten pit for eternity. Brick by brick, souls will fall, because they did not believe the commandments of God at all!
Today’s Question
Are you falling for the devil’s counterfeit brick trick into hell, where mountains and mansions are made of molten lava?

Deuteronomy 7

The Privilege of Holiness

“When the Lord your God brings you into the land you are about to enter and occupy, he will clear away many nations ahead of you: the Hittites, Girgashites, Amorites, Canaanites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites. These seven nations are greater and more numerous than you. When the Lord your God hands these nations over to you and you conquer them, you must completely destroy[a] them. Make no treaties with them and show them no mercy. You must not intermarry with them. Do not let your daughters and sons marry their sons and daughters, for they will lead your children away from me to worship other gods. Then the anger of the Lord will burn against you, and he will quickly destroy you. This is what you must do. You must break down their pagan altars and shatter their sacred pillars. Cut down their Asherah poles and burn their idols. For you are a holy people, who belong to the Lord your God. Of all the people on earth, the Lord your God has chosen you to be his own special treasure.
“The Lord did not set his heart on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other nations, for you were the smallest of all nations! Rather, it was simply that the Lord loves you, and he was keeping the oath he had sworn to your ancestors. That is why the Lord rescued you with such a strong hand from your slavery and from the oppressive hand of Pharaoh, king of Egypt.Understand, therefore, that the Lord your God is indeed God. He is the faithful God who keeps his covenant for a thousand generations and lavishes his unfailing love on those who love him and obey his commands. 10 But he does not hesitate to punish and destroy those who reject him. 11 Therefore, you must obey all these commands, decrees, and regulations I am giving you today.
12 “If you listen to these regulations and faithfully obey them, the Lord your God will keep his covenant of unfailing love with you, as he promised with an oath to your ancestors. 13 He will love you and bless you, and he will give you many children. He will give fertility to your land and your animals. When you arrive in the land he swore to give your ancestors, you will have large harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil, and great herds of cattle, sheep, and goats. 14 You will be blessed above all the nations of the earth. None of your men or women will be childless, and all your livestock will bear young. 15 And the Lord will protect you from all sickness. He will not let you suffer from the terrible diseases you knew in Egypt, but he will inflict them on all your enemies!
16 “You must destroy all the nations the Lord your God hands over to you. Show them no mercy, and do not worship their gods, or they will trap you. 17 Perhaps you will think to yourselves, ‘How can we ever conquer these nations that are so much more powerful than we are?’ 18 But don’t be afraid of them! Just remember what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all the land of Egypt. 19 Remember the great terrors the Lord your God sent against them. You saw it all with your own eyes! And remember the miraculous signs and wonders, and the strong hand and powerful arm with which he brought you out of Egypt. The Lord your God will use this same power against all the people you fear. 20 And then the Lord your God will send terror[b] to drive out the few survivors still hiding from you!
21 “No, do not be afraid of those nations, for the Lord your God is among you, and he is a great and awesome God. 22 The Lord your God will drive those nations out ahead of you little by little. You will not clear them away all at once, otherwise the wild animals would multiply too quickly for you. 23 But the Lord your God will hand them over to you. He will throw them into complete confusion until they are destroyed. 24 He will put their kings in your power, and you will erase their names from the face of the earth. No one will be able to stand against you, and you will destroy them all.
25 “You must burn their idols in fire, and you must not covet the silver or gold that covers them. You must not take it or it will become a trap to you, for it is detestable to the Lord your God. 26 Do not bring any detestable objects into your home, for then you will be destroyed, just like them. You must utterly detest such things, for they are set apart for destruction.

Love,

Jonathan
