The Today’s Show

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“Today, I truly understand why I am the most thankful right now, more than any other time before in my life.” ~ Jon Barnes

The Show

Many times we cannot see ourselves in our lives as we live to be thankful for what God has given us. When we receive, we want more.  When we obtain, we are not satisfied. When we have, we waste and don’t share with our brothers and sisters. Our greed and lack of thankfulness to God is the SHOW that we do not play on our personal TV screens of our minds.

Put On

We put on a Good Show of lies to disguise our pathetic ways and lifestyle to reject God’s truth, meekness, humility, goodness, kindness, long-suffering, and patience with us and our wicked ways.

The Time

The time will come and you will be judged for your Show of Faith or your Show of Fake.  Being a flake will cost you more than you can fathom. Do not Flake out on Your Show, since snowflakes will burn in hell too but not in Heaven!

1 Timothy 6

All who are under the yoke of slavery should consider their masters worthy of full respect, so that God’s name and our teaching may not be slandered. Those who have believing masters should not show them disrespect just because they are fellow believers. Instead, they should serve them even better because their masters are dear to them as fellow believers and are devoted to the welfare[a] of their slaves.

False Teachers and the Love of Money

These are the things you are to teach and insist on. If anyone teaches otherwise and does not agree to the sound instruction of our Lord Jesus Christ and to godly teaching, they are conceited and understand nothing. They have an unhealthy interest in controversies and quarrels about words that result in envy, strife, malicious talk, evil suspicions and constant friction between people of corrupt mind, who have been robbed of the truth and who think that godliness is a means to financial gain.
But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it. But if we have food and clothing, we will be content with that. Those who want to get rich fall into temptation and a trap and into many foolish and harmful desires that plunge people into ruin and destruction. 10 For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs.

Final Charge to Timothy

11 But you, man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 12 Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses. 13 In the sight of God, who gives life to everything, and of Christ Jesus, who while testifying before Pontius Pilate made the good confession, I charge you 14 to keep this command without spot or blame until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ, 15 which God will bring about in his own time—God, the blessed and only Ruler, the King of kings and Lord of lords, 16 who alone is immortal and who lives in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen or can see. To him be honor and might forever. Amen.
17 Command those who are rich in this present world not to be arrogant nor to put their hope in wealth, which is so uncertain, but to put their hope in God, who richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment. 18 Command them to do good, to be rich in good deeds, and to be generous and willing to share. 19 In this way they will lay up treasure for themselves as a firm foundation for the coming age, so that they may take hold of the life that is truly life.
20 Timothy, guard what has been entrusted to your care. Turn away from godless chatter and the opposing ideas of what is falsely called knowledge, 21 which some have professed and in so doing have departed from the faith.
Grace be with you all.
Love,
Jonathan

Priceless Pictures

smartphone-407108_1920

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“If a picture paints 1,000 words then your good works should tell the story of your helping 1,000s of people to visualize how wonderfully God is working in your life, helping others.” ~ Jon Barnes

The exchange

Your future is in the hands of God– bound for heaven or hell– so be sure you understand the exchange rate for life’s currency on the other side of the Pearly Gates. The time you use to build your personal story and walk with God is your payment of faith in action that the Blood of Christ receives and recognizes you as a child of God. The repentance of a Good, Faithful, Servant of the King, rings the bell and sings the sound of triumph as the trumpet sounds, with your name in the Lamb’s Book of Life! The soul of your picture is worth more than 1,000 Worlds to God.

Non-Refundable

Your evil ways and rejection of God’s Truth with your lifestyle and choices are non-negotiable and non-refundable upon death and your soul will pay the price from your purchase agreement you made with the devil or yourself. The wasted time you spend on earth doing nothing is truly your loss and you will pay compounded interest for eternity, because of your disobedience to God’s Commandments.

Non-Negotiable

Your attention, love, faith, and work will line up and point to whom you serve and follow from Facebook in this life to God’s Facebook Page in Heaven and Hell. We are all signing up as we speak through our actions, words, and deeds, based on the instructions we read from the bible. Ignorance is a lie and considered evil since we all have built within us the pure Truth of God about His Fatherly Creation and Provision. Each breath you take is proof enough that God is Your God and Father of all! Look in the mirror, God looks like you, a Priceless Picture of wonder!

Remember

“The soul of your picture is worth more than 1,000 Worlds to God, so treat all people as such with respect and love.” ~ Jon Barnes

1 Timothy 5

Widows, Elders and Slaves

Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity.
Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God. The widow who is really in need and left all alone puts her hope in God and continues night and day to pray and to ask God for help. But the widow who lives for pleasure is dead even while she lives. Give the people these instructions, so that no one may be open to blame. Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
No widow may be put on the list of widows unless she is over sixty, has been faithful to her husband, 10 and is well known for her good deeds, such as bringing up children, showing hospitality, washing the feet of the Lord’s people, helping those in trouble and devoting herself to all kinds of good deeds.
11 As for younger widows, do not put them on such a list. For when their sensual desires overcome their dedication to Christ, they want to marry. 12 Thus they bring judgment on themselves, because they have broken their first pledge. 13 Besides, they get into the habit of being idle and going about from house to house. And not only do they become idlers, but also busybodies who talk nonsense, saying things they ought not to. 14 So I counsel younger widows to marry, to have children, to manage their homes and to give the enemy no opportunity for slander. 15 Some have in fact already turned away to follow Satan.
16 If any woman who is a believer has widows in her care, she should continue to help them and not let the church be burdened with them, so that the church can help those widows who are really in need.
17 The elders who direct the affairs of the church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is preaching and teaching. 18 For Scripture says, “Do not muzzle an ox while it is treading out the grain,”[a] and “The worker deserves his wages.”[b] 19 Do not entertain an accusation against an elder unless it is brought by two or three witnesses. 20 But those elders who are sinning you are to reprove before everyone, so that the others may take warning. 21 I charge you, in the sight of God and Christ Jesus and the elect angels, to keep these instructions without partiality, and to do nothing out of favoritism.
22 Do not be hasty in the laying on of hands, and do not share in the sins of others.Keep yourself pure.
23 Stop drinking only water, and use a little wine because of your stomach and your frequent illnesses.
24 The sins of some are obvious, reaching the place of judgment ahead of them; the sins of others trail behind them. 25 In the same way, good deeds are obvious, and even those that are not obvious cannot remain hidden forever.

Love,

Jonathan

Headaches

headache-1910649_1280

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote
“You create your own headaches based on your diet, stress level, perception of reality in how you live and tell your personal story of bad works and little faith.”  ~ Jon Barnes

Context

How you interpret your experience will give you insight or confusion. If you are confused, you are looking at things in the wrong context, and you need help listening to someone with experience to help you logically understand deep, truthful, common sense. Good people usually have experiences that will help paint pictures of the context of God’s real stories.

Logical

The Bible is a very logical, simple, and practical guidebook to reduce the headaches in your life if you apply the information with honesty and truth. Things in life become illogical when you lie, cheat, and steal your way to the top of the corporate world public, non-profit, profit, educational, governmental, and private sectors.

Interpretation

Control your interpretations by focusing on the true meaning of your life and how scripture is applied to assist you in love, understanding, and wisdom. Happiness helps your mood when you show God’s love to everyone you meet, which reduces your stress and anxiety.

Today’s Question

Did you notice how your good works improve your faith and reduce stress and headaches?

1 Timothy 4

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron. They forbid people to marry and order them to abstain from certain foods, which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and who know the truth. For everything God created is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, because it is consecrated by the word of God and prayer.
If you point these things out to the brothers and sisters,[a] you will be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished on the truths of the faith and of the good teaching that you have followed. Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives’ tales; rather, train yourself to be godly. For physical training is of some value, but godliness has value for all things, holding promise for both the present life and the life to come. This is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance. 10 That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.
11 Command and teach these things. 12 Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching. 14 Do not neglect your gift, which was given you through prophecy when the body of elders laid their hands on you.
15 Be diligent in these matters; give yourself wholly to them, so that everyone may see your progress. 16 Watch your life and doctrine closely. Persevere in them, because if you do, you will save both yourself and your hearers.
Love,
Jonathan

Sound Systems

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“Check your power source, power button, mute button, volume button, plugs, and cables of your personal sound system, between your ears, so that you can hear what God is trying to say to you.” ~ Jon Barnes

Systems Check

There are many things that can go wrong and prevent you from hearing the Truth and responding to Good Information, allowing you to have a great sounding system.  Your Mouth is the sound system and your brain controls the quality of sound you produce. Let God be your Sound Man for your work, gigs, events, and parties so that your sound is balanced, perfect, and natural. Let God select your team to run your sound.

Sound Check

Soundcheck is extremely important since God can check your volume levels, EQ, Highs, Mids, Lows, effects, reverb, and other digital content needed for the show. You must show up for the soundcheck to practice sounding your best, as God makes the necessary adjustments to your mix. His team of helpers will communicate vital information to you and your band of responsible people.

Monitor Mix

It is hard to sing and play if you cannot hear yourself in the monitor mix. Your band sounds great, but you can’t respond properly and perform your best if the monitor and house mix is off-balanced. It is vital to have constant communication with God, The Master Engineer of Your Sound System so that He can assist you with what you need, making the proper adjustments to your team and band. Listen to your qualified Sound GUYs!
Today’s Question

Is God your Qualified Engineering, Sound Guy or are you about to blow up your speakers, since you don’t know what you are doing, being too cheap to hire Good Help?

1 Timothy 3

Qualifications for Overseers and Deacons

Here is a trustworthy saying: Whoever aspires to be an overseer desires a noble task. Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach, not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money. He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full[a] respect. (If anyone does not know how to manage his own family, how can he take care of God’s church?) He must not be a recent convert, or he may become conceited and fall under the same judgment as the devil. He must also have a good reputation with outsiders, so that he will not fall into disgrace and into the devil’s trap.
In the same way, deacons[b] are to be worthy of respect, sincere, not indulging in much wine, and not pursuing dishonest gain. They must keep hold of the deep truths of the faith with a clear conscience. 10 They must first be tested; and then if there is nothing against them, let them serve as deacons.
11 In the same way, the women[c] are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.
12 A deacon must be faithful to his wife and must manage his children and his household well. 13 Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus.

Reasons for Paul’s Instructions

14 Although I hope to come to you soon, I am writing you these instructions so that,15 if I am delayed, you will know how people ought to conduct themselves in God’s household, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.16 Beyond all question, the mystery from which true godliness springs is great:
He appeared in the flesh,
    was vindicated by the Spirit,[d]
was seen by angels,
    was preached among the nations,
was believed on in the world,
    was taken up in glory.

Jonathan

Direct TV

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“I couldn’t watch TV last night because I was too busy communicating, listening, answering questions, inspiring, nurturing, laughing, helping, and loving my Adult kids that God blessed me with.” ~ Jon Barnes

Adult TV

My kids are Adults and they have great questions, insight, talent, ideas, and challenges for me to engage with my time. The TV Show was turned off and I enjoyed helping out my daughter with questions from her new job promotion, writing and proofreading letters– being a blessing and making myself available. When you make yourself available to God, He teaches you how to help others.

Cable TV

I had a blast talking with one child and then the second one called, which made me put the Cable TV on pause. We talked for an hour and I think I listened for almost 59 minutes of the conversation. Then the miracle happened, God showed me how to inspire my child with loving words of wisdom with 5 minutes of information and personal experience and lessons that I had to learn from my bible reading.

TV on Demand

You can’t help someone, especially the ones you love if you are not humble, prepared, and willing to share with the right information to give from God. You are God’s TV, which is a direct source of Love, Hope, Charity, Truth, and Proof that God is real. Your job is to develop channels and programming for people to enjoy, learn, grow, and share with others to help a confused, lying, evil world full of injustice.
Today’s Question
Is your TV (your life) on Demand for God or are you wasting your life, hypnotized by the black box idle, your TV set god, the black hole, which can eat up your life like digital cancer?

1 Timothy 2

Instructions on Worship

I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Savior, who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and mankind, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all people. This has now been witnessed to at the proper time. And for this purpose I was appointed a herald and an apostle—I am telling the truth, I am not lying—and a true and faithful teacher of the Gentiles.
Therefore I want the men everywhere to pray, lifting up holy hands without anger or disputing. I also want the women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, adorning themselves, not with elaborate hairstyles or gold or pearls or expensive clothes, 10 but with good deeds, appropriate for women who profess to worship God.
11 A woman[a] should learn in quietness and full submission. 12 I do not permit a woman to teach or to assume authority over a man;[b] she must be quiet. 13 For Adam was formed first, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not the one deceived; it was the woman who was deceived and became a sinner. 15 But women[c] will be saved through childbearing—if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.
Love,
Jonathan

Acceptance

pair-2028133_1920

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“No one likes rejection, so become informed, love the truth of God, and be saved from the grips of the evil one or his false teachers.” ~ Jon Barnes

Informed

It is a pleasure to have a mind and heart to learn, read, study, and become informed, reassured, and transformed by the Word of God. Good information and wisdom from God are better than gold, fame, pride, greed, and lust. As a result, few people choose Good information because of their passion for worldly pleasures that lust after the flesh.

No Hope

There is no hope in trying to buy your way out of sin. God’s Bible is an accurate account of History and you must know these stories for yourself. You must go by the book of God after you go buy and read a copy of it for yourself. God holds us all accountable for the true work we put into learning, growing, and working for Him. No love means no faith, no work, and no hope in God.

Feedback

Receive the feedback that God has given you as a wonderful warning of things to come.  I do not want to be caught up in the evil of someone else, so I tend to do my own work to monitor and focus on my progress and I’ll ask God for direction and feedback.  I can only share what I read and learn from His Bible. Test this theory out for yourself and receive God’s acceptance and Spirit of Truth.
Today’s Question.
Have you been comforted with God’s Holy Spirit of Truth and Acceptance to become obedient?

1 Timothy 1

Paul, an apostle of Christ Jesus by the command of God our Savior and of Christ Jesus our hope,

To Timothy my true son in the faith:
Grace, mercy and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord.

Timothy Charged to Oppose False Teachers

As I urged you when I went into Macedonia, stay there in Ephesus so that you may command certain people not to teach false doctrines any longer or to devote themselves to myths and endless genealogies. Such things promote controversial speculations rather than advancing God’s work—which is by faith. The goal of this command is love, which comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Some have departed from these and have turned to meaningless talk. They want to be teachers of the law, but they do not know what they are talking about or what they so confidently affirm.
We know that the law is good if one uses it properly. We also know that the law is made not for the righteous but for lawbreakers and rebels, the ungodly and sinful, the unholy and irreligious, for those who kill their fathers or mothers, for murderers, 10 for the sexually immoral, for those practicing homosexuality, for slave traders and liars and perjurers—and for whatever else is contrary to the sound doctrine 11 that conforms to the gospel concerning the glory of the blessed God, which he entrusted to me.

The Lord’s Grace to Paul

12 I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me trustworthy, appointing me to his service. 13 Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy because I acted in ignorance and unbelief. 14 The grace of our Lord was poured out on me abundantly, along with the faith and love that are in Christ Jesus.
15 Here is a trustworthy saying that deserves full acceptance: Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am the worst. 16 But for that very reason I was shown mercy so that in me, the worst of sinners, Christ Jesus might display his immense patience as an example for those who would believe in him and receive eternal life. 17 Now to the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory for ever and ever. Amen.

The Charge to Timothy Renewed

18 Timothy, my son, I am giving you this command in keeping with the prophecies once made about you, so that by recalling them you may fight the battle well, 19 holding on to faith and a good conscience, which some have rejected and so have suffered shipwreck with regard to the faith. 20 Among them are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I have handed over to Satan to be taught not to blaspheme.
Love,
Jonathan

Rejection

stamp-1726352_1280.jpg

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote

“Since Hell is hotter and everlasting, Rejection is unpleasant, yet necessary to Purge Evil to permanently burn in its proper facility, prepared by God, like the shining sun.” ~ Jon Barnes

The Purge

Each day as I say the Lord’s Prayer, I am reminded of how much God loves and provides all things for us to learn, grow, share, and care for each other.  People who are not interested in Loving God will automatically purge themselves from the redemption and rest that is prepared for us in Heaven.

Reminder

I am gently reminded of the fact that God chose all of us unto His Rest, yet many will refuse the invitation to His Will, Wedding, Reception, and Permanent Vacation Spot! I don’t want to miss this cruise of a lifetime, that happens to be permanent and paid in full by the Blood of Jesus used to atone for our sins.

Repentance

Each day I repent and try to fix a new problem, improve my ability to love, and forgive other people and their faults. We should all show kindness, meekness, humility, compassion, and gentleness with God’s mercy, grace, and love– which is why we believe in God– who gives us all Good Things Freely.  Why Reject This Truth?
Today’s Question
Did you Reject The Truth of God and are you prepared for permanent Judgement, Hell, and Rejection?

2 Thessalonians 3

Request for Prayer

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you. And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one. We have confidence in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we command. May the Lord direct your hearts into God’s love and Christ’s perseverance.

Warning Against Idleness

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching[a] you received from us. For you yourselves know how you ought to follow our example. We were not idle when we were with you, nor did we eat anyone’s food without paying for it. On the contrary, we worked night and day, laboring and toiling so that we would not be a burden to any of you. We did this, not because we do not have the right to such help, but in order to offer ourselves as a model for you to imitate. 10 For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: “The one who is unwilling to work shall not eat.”
11 We hear that some among you are idle and disruptive. They are not busy; they are busybodies. 12 Such people we command and urge in the Lord Jesus Christ to settle down and earn the food they eat. 13 And as for you, brothers and sisters, never tire of doing what is good.
14 Take special note of anyone who does not obey our instruction in this letter. Do not associate with them, in order that they may feel ashamed. 15 Yet do not regard them as an enemy, but warn them as you would a fellow believer.

Final Greetings

16 Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
17 I, Paul, write this greeting in my own hand, which is the distinguishing mark in all my letters. This is how I write.
18 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.
Love,
Jonathan

Focus Blurred

lens-637558_1920

Hi Peeps,

Today’s Quote

“Information overload and greed prevents us from looking at one problem at a time, completing the solution, sharing the results, and mentoring someone else.” ~ Jon Barnes

One Thing

Learn to do one thing well, to improve your focus and insight so that you can apply this concept to the next thing you need to learn. In your list of things to do, you can only cross out one thing at a time.  Organize and schedule your success with steps that focus on one thing at a time to allow God to train you properly.

Progress

Each step in the right direction points to your progress and paints a story for others to see and analyze. Each story teaches us how biblical laws work in our lives and how God’s love teaches us over the entire span of our lives.

Vision

Your vision improves by allowing all of your senses to be used in each lesson God teaches you. When you pass each simple test, your focus becomes sharpened and what you do and say becomes relevant, clear for all to see the direction you are headed.
Today’s Question
Can you see where you are headed?

1 Thessalonians 4

Living to Please God

As for other matters, brothers and sisters, we instructed you how to live in order to please God, as in fact you are living. Now we ask you and urge you in the Lord Jesus to do this more and more. For you know what instructions we gave you by the authority of the Lord Jesus.
It is God’s will that you should be sanctified: that you should avoid sexual immorality;that each of you should learn to control your own body[a] in a way that is holy and honorable, not in passionate lust like the pagans, who do not know God; and that in this matter no one should wrong or take advantage of a brother or sister.[b] The Lord will punish all those who commit such sins, as we told you and warned you before. For God did not call us to be impure, but to live a holy life. Therefore, anyone who rejects this instruction does not reject a human being but God, the very God who gives you his Holy Spirit.
Now about your love for one another we do not need to write to you, for you yourselves have been taught by God to love each other. 10 And in fact, you do love all of God’s family throughout Macedonia. Yet we urge you, brothers and sisters, to do so more and more, 11 and to make it your ambition to lead a quiet life: You should mind your own business and work with your hands, just as we told you, 12 so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody.

Believers Who Have Died

13 Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. 14 For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 15 According to the Lord’s word, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18 Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Love,
Jonathan

Expectations

child-562297_1920

Hi Peeps,
Today’s Quote
“If you expect nothing for your quality work than you will not do the quality job, because you didn’t expect anything for your quality labor from God.” ~ Jon Barnes

You Become

You become what you think you are, within God’s plan. Your choice to engage with rigor is directly proportionate to your passion and drive to do Good Work. God gives us the honesty it takes to achieve if we believe in the truth.

Know What

What you have learned and earned is what you now know.  Seeing and reading experiences are not the same as participating in your own experiences.  You must get the good work done and practice your skills of faith to gain hands-on wisdom from God through practice and labor!

You See

You will see the results from the quality of work that you express from your love for God and you will do Good Work, as a result. There is no secret to obeying God’s ways, words, and commandments. Yes or No are your options!
Today’s Question

Are you prepared to expect better of yourself so God can bless you more?

1 Thessalonians 3

So when we could stand it no longer, we thought it best to be left by ourselves in Athens. We sent Timothy, who is our brother and co-worker in God’s service in spreading the gospel of Christ, to strengthen and encourage you in your faith, so that no one would be unsettled by these trials. For you know quite well that we are destined for them. In fact, when we were with you, we kept telling you that we would be persecuted. And it turned out that way, as you well know. For this reason, when I could stand it no longer, I sent to find out about your faith. I was afraid that in some way the tempter had tempted you and that our labors might have been in vain.

Timothy’s Encouraging Report

But Timothy has just now come to us from you and has brought good news about your faith and love. He has told us that you always have pleasant memories of us and that you long to see us, just as we also long to see you. Therefore, brothers and sisters, in all our distress and persecution we were encouraged about you because of your faith. For now we really live, since you are standing firm in the Lord. How can we thank God enough for you in return for all the joy we have in the presence of our God because of you? 10 Night and day we pray most earnestly that we may see you again and supply what is lacking in your faith.
11 Now may our God and Father himself and our Lord Jesus clear the way for us to come to you. 12 May the Lord make your love increase and overflow for each other and for everyone else, just as ours does for you. 13 May he strengthen your hearts so that you will be blameless and holy in the presence of our God and Father when our Lord Jesus comes with all his holy ones.
Love,
Jonathan
